The zoom groom is a great tool for short or long haired pooches. It can be used as a regular brush or as an aid when bathing.
Designed to stimulate the fur and increase natural oils it’s truly a great product. This is the only brush we use on Poppy as well as any dogs we have in boarding. It really is a great product.

Car safety is important so when we travel with Poppy in the car we always use this car safety belt. It works with most harnesses or collars and keeps your pet from moving about the car whilst you’re driving.

It just clips in to the belt buckle slot on one end and attaches to the harness on the other.

A great product that’s highly recommended.

When we don’t have time for a bath but Poppy is starting to pong, we reach for the perfume. Kennel #5 is a great smelling spray that covers up any unpleasant smells until you can get to a groomers.

We also supply a couple of other fragrances from Ancol available but our favourites are Kennel #5 and BB.

Looking after your pooches dental health is extremely important but we know that it’s not always an easy task. With a finger brush for getting all the hard to reach areas, a larger double sided 360 degree brush that comes in 2 sizes to use in different areas of your pets mouth and a great coconut mint flavoured toothpaste. Whenever we have to pop out and leave Poppy alone, the Wobbler is her go to toy. We put a few small biscuits in there and it keeps her entertained and stimulated whilst we are gone.

The wobbler is weighted so it always returns to an upright position and only has one small hole for the treats to escape. Once you teach your pooch how to play with this toy it will be a great addition to their collection and keep them entertained for ages.

First up the SLO DOG slow feeder, available in green or orange and made of good quality plastic this product has helped us stop Poppy from gulping down her food in 0.5 seconds. She now has to take her time and eat each biscuit one at a time. Really great product!

A long time since my last post! A very long time. We went away for our honeymoon but here is a brief glimpse of a lot of the dogs we have looked after since then.

Bookings are already being taken for summer 2025 so if you know you’re going to need care, please get in touch as soon as possible 😊

Our boarders are all near the end of their stays now 😟

Laszlo the Hungarian Viszla has made a new friend overnight (Marley) he has settled in really well and is having a great time.

Marley is a Dachshund puppy who is with us for two nights. He has been well behaved so far, by puppy standards at least 😂 and has been playing non stop with Laszlo in between timeouts 😊

Ted has become a sock thief and we catch him running around with them all the time. He has settled in really well too and is a lot more relaxed than the beginning of his stay. He has been playing a lot and has now hit his tired out stage of the stay where he likes to sleep a lot more.

Graison has been following us around wherever we go, including the bathroom 😂 he’s having lots of fun playing with toys. He really wants to play with the other dogs but he just doesn’t understand how to go about it. We still have a couple of days left with him so we’re hopeful he might have at least one play session with another dog but we will have to wait and see.

If you have a puppy who you want socialising while they’re young why not book in for a couple of nights. We will look after your new pet and make sure they get a positive experience with other dogs in a home environment that will set them up for life.

Very busy here!

So much that I haven’t had chance to post!

All our friends from last week have now gone home (some have even been and gone since then too) and we’re missing them all!

So just a quick photo dump to show who we have with us for the weekend 😊

- Graisons holiday has finally arrived after all his hard work socialising

-Lola and Reggie for their second visit

And of course Sunny and Poppy!

Bit of a mad house but all the dogs are getting on great and currently conked out from a morning of fun.

Officially Licensed!

The paperwork has been processed and I have been awarded a 4⭐️ license from the council 😀. I’m happy to be able to continue to offer my services for the foreseeable future 😊. To get a 4 star is just amazing too as it would be impossible for me to of gotten 5.

Now to the dogs. Lexi has gone home and been replaced by Roxy the Boxer. She took a few days to settle and had a few iffy moments with Juno. We worked through them though and everyone is happy together now and getting along just fine. Roxy loves a fuss and has the softest fur.

Bear, kaia and Juno are still with us too. Juno has been in Meerkat mode in the window today and has started to creep in to our bed in the mornings now.

Bear has been having lots of play with Juno and they are besties but he’s liked having some rough play with me too.

Kaia is just the most lovely dog! She loves a cuddle but has enjoyed some time to herself in the conservatory every now and again. Whenever someone comes in to the house she grabs their hand with her mouth and pulls them away so she gets attention first, it’s so adorable.

Another couple of days of changes sees the last of our dogs from last week go home. We said bye to Raven this morning.

But we have said hello to Lexi the mix breed bundle of energy! She has made quick friends with Kaia (who you will meet shortly). She settled in almost immediately and has such a gorgeous face!

Bear is here, a Bernese Mountain dog X Collie. He is the only male here with 6 girls for him to take his pick of 😂. He’s had fun playing so far and again has settled in well!

Bear has come with his sister Kaia, a Hungarian Vizsla. She was a little jealous of Bear playing with Lexi to begin with but has now found a friend in Juno. She loves cuddles and looking out of the upstairs windows. Another stunner!

Finally Juno is still with us 😊 she took a few days to settle and when she did, all her friends went home and she had to start again with new ones. She’s doing great though and is having a lot of fun. She’s loving her canal side walks and all the playtime😊

We’ve nearly had a full switch around. Raven is the last one standing and as you can see, she’s pretty tired out from her fun time here!

We now also have Graison visiting for his last socialisation session before his stay. This is the first time we’ve introduced him to other dogs apart from our beagles and he’s done outstandingly well. Everyone is off lead and chilling out together.

Juno is back after her trial for her 17 night stay with us. She took a day to gain her confidence and settle in to the pack but she’s made good progress and is starting to play with the others now.

We have Chase the Beagle and Loki the British Timber Dog also completing their trial stay with us before their vacation in September.
Chase is the most adorable beagle o have ever seen!
He’s so small and handsome. He got on well with Nola before she left but is a little lost now she’s gone home.
He’s getting more than enough cuddles from us to make up for it though.

Loki has been all energy since he arrive and hasn’t stopped. He has made friends with every dog here but he is pretty exhausted after just one day.

So we have 2 new additions to the pack!

Archie is a Lhasa Apso and has not long arrived. He’s still getting a feel for the place and trying to decide who he wants to make friends with but has so far loved his time in the garden and now in the bay window watching the world go by.

Raven is an olde English bulldogge . She has settled in well, even if she has been non stop since getting here. She loves a fuss but has been struggling a bit with this heat!

We’ve had a house full of hot dogs 🌭 these last few days and so we’ve taken to spending the days in the garden where they can lay in the grass to keep cool. Night times has been fan central and I’m sure our electric bill will be through the roof at the end of the month! 😂

Nola, Luffy and Charlie are still here although we’re preparing to say our goodbyes to Charlie tomorrow 😟
