Good morning to all my customers!

Just a little update as I haven’t been active on my page for a very long time now . I have been incredibly busy with the grooming now we’re in Spring everybody is wanting their summer cuts ☀️

I’m completely booked up for the whole of June with limited appointments available from early July so I deeply encourage all my regulars to book in when you collect your dogs from me as you will miss out and I can’t just squeeze you in after ‘office hours’ like I used to at the old Deal salon due to restricted working hours at my current salon.

I am temporarily closing my books to new customers due to the limited availability I do have , if you’re still interested in booking with me please contact me mid July and I can accommodate you 😊

PLEASE READ !

In the last week I have had 3 no shows not turn up to their booked appointments, resulting in my small business losing £120. That is what my salon rent cost for the week which I have had to pay out from my profit that week , meaning £120 worth of my own personal bills have gone without being paid.

We are all human which I really do understand but please just drop me a message so I expect you not to turn up. I can put your appointment time to use elsewhere.

I have researched into booking systems which take upfront deposits to secure bookings however it takes a percentage per payment resulting in another overhead for me to consider. If I have to go down this route I will have no choice but to increase groom costs to cover this which I really do not want to do as I’m happy with my pricing and I’m aware how expensive life is already.

Please just be mindful 💔

I am back from my holidays after having a wonderful time in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 I am slowly but surely getting through my list of messages and emails so bare with me if you haven’t received a reply just yet .

I have a very busy few weeks ahead of me. Lots of grooms , dog walks and a homesit booked in for March. Can’t wait to get stuck in again 🐶✂️🐕‍🦺🐴

To all my followers new and old, I thought I’d introduce myself and share a short snippet of my journey so far..

Hi 👋🏽 I’m Jade, I’m 21 years old and have been grooming from the age of 16. When I finished school I went on to follow my passion of becoming a dog groomer . I qualified in February 2019 and went on to start business in partnership with a local pet service company.

I took the plunge in October 2019 to go solo and take on a rented shop based in Deal, which is when Dolly’s Dog Parlour was made. My client base grew way faster than I had ever imagined and every day was a total success. I couldn’t have been more prouder of 17 year old me for starting and maintaining a business.

Fast forward two years October 2021, I decided to move on from running Dolly’s at a rented property in hopes of eliminating overhead expenses and move into an owned property, all during the pandemic. Things did not go planned the way I had hoped which turned into taking employment in jobs I weren’t particularly happy in, which made me realise being with the dogs was my place to be.

November 2023 an opportunity was offered my way to take on a pay as you go salon, meaning my overheads were slashed in half and I could truly focus on all my customers and the grooms. I am extremely grateful my first 2 months have been busy and I am back in a job I absolutely love.

So, THANK YOU for the continued support to all my customers and a warm welcome to the future furries I am yet to meet
