🐦🌿 A LITTLE SPARROW FAMILY HAS FOUND OUR ZEN GARDEN SANCTUARY 🌿🐦
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed a young sparrow drinking from the waterfall and wandering around the edge of the pond.
I’ve always kept bird food in hanging baskets around the garden, and I started noticing the food disappearing a little quicker every day. So, naturally, I began keeping an eye on our new little visitor.
Then last week, I spotted the sparrow chirping away to another younger bird. I wondered if perhaps it was one of its babies.
Well… over the last few days, the story has become even more beautiful.
There are now three young sparrows visiting the pond area, along with what I believe is their mum. 🐦🐦🐦❤️
I’ve watched her collecting food and carefully placing it into their little mouths. As the youngsters have grown stronger and more confident, they’ve started exploring more of the garden, hopping around the pond, investigating everything and filling the sanctuary with their wonderful little songs.
What amazes me most is just how close they come to me.
I can sit quietly nearby while they wander around, chirping away as though I’m simply another part of their surroundings.
And what a feeling that is. ❤️
After all the work, love and patience I’ve put into creating this garden, moments like these make every single bit of it worthwhile.
The plants are beautiful, but for me the birds, fish, bees and wildlife are what truly bring the garden alive.
I originally created Zen Garden Sanctuary as somewhere peaceful for myself — somewhere to relax, reconnect with nature and escape from the noise of everyday life.
Somewhere along the way, nature decided it wanted to move in too. 🌿🐦🐝🐟
And I couldn't be happier about that.
I haven't just created a garden.
I've created a sanctuary — for myself and for nature. 💚
Sometimes the greatest reward for creating a wildlife-friendly garden isn't a flower blooming…
…it’s a tiny sparrow feeling safe enough to raise its family beside you.
