🐴Ponies🐴 Wanted on Loan for Equine-Facilitated Learning Programme
We are an established alternative provision equine-facilitated learning programme seeking two calm, kind ponies on loan to join our small and supportive team.
Our work supports children and young people through ground-based, non-riding sessions that focus on emotional regulation, confidence, communication, and wellbeing. The ponies are central partners in this work and are treated with deep respect and care.
We are looking for ponies who are:
Calm, gentle, and people-orientated
Happy working quietly on the ground (no riding involved)
Comfortable around children and young people
Steady and emotionally generous, even with varied behaviours or noise
Easy to handle, lead, groom, and stand with
Any breed considered; age and height flexible — temperament is key
What we offer:

Short, gentle sessions with plenty of rest days
Excellent daily care, consistent routines, and knowledgeable handling
A meaningful role where your pony genuinely makes a difference
This would suit a pony who enjoys human interaction, may be semi-retired, or whose owner is looking for a safe, purposeful loan home.

About Us
The Seeds of Change is an established equine alternative provision offering therapeutic and educational programmes for children and young people. Through a combination of equine-assisted learning, outdoor education, and individualised support, we help learners build confidence, resilience, and life skills in a nurturing environment.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant / Horse Groom. This is a unique, full-time role that combines caring for children and young people within our setting with supporting the day-to-day care of our horses and the running of our site.
This is a hands-on, active position suited to someone with lots of energy, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for both people and animals.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily routines of children and young people, ensuring a safe, caring, and engaging environment.
Assist with horse care, including feeding, mucking out, grooming, and exercising.
Help facilitate equine and outdoor learning activities under the guidance of the coaching team.
Maintain high standards of welfare and safety for both horses and learners.
Adapt to the changing needs of the day and provide flexible support across the team.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Reliable, committed, and hardworking.
Energetic, proactive, and able to take initiative.
Compassionate and patient, with a nurturing approach to children and animals.
A strong team player but also confident working independently.
Experienced in horse care (essential).
Experience working with children or in a care/education setting (desirable).
Able to work outdoors in all weathers and enjoy an active lifestyle.
