Hello everyone! I'm Joop!

When I first came to the cattery I was a bit freaked out and tried to climb through the ceiling! Luckily I didn't manage it because then they found out I was pregnant! I'm under a year old, possibly even only 6 months. Sadly this meant that my babies didn't make it - I was just too little, but now I'm booked in to be spayed so I never have to go through it again! 🥺

I'm very quiet these days, I'm the most nervous in my friend group, so I would like to go home with one of them - either Jasper, who curls up in bed and cuddles me, or Burberry, who I think is my sister! They're both much more confident with people than me, but as you can see from my pictures, it's easy to win my trust is you have the right treats 😹

I'm a very sweet natured girl, and being so young, once I'm a bit more confident, you'll have years of cuddles and watching me play! I think I'll be a real character once I've settled and gotten to know you 🐾

🐱 Other cats in the home would be great, I'm used to mixing with lots of cats.
👶 Children might be a bit scary at first, but a couple of well behaved children who understand me would be nice.
🐶 Dogs are probably not for me, they're too bouncy and loud!

Good day, my name is Winston.

I'm a debonair gentleman, who is keen to find my own family and live out my days in peace and happiness.... but I can also just be a silly baby sometimes! 😸

My previous owner moved out and left me behind! So I'd love a family that means I never get left behind again 🥹

The people at the Firs have microchipped me, had me castrated and I've had my first jab already!

I'm a middle aged man, so I'm over the curtain climbing, toilet training stage. The vets think I'm about 10, so I've still got many years ahead of me.

I've moved in with 2 other cats and am doing fine with them so a home with other cats would be fine. I don't think I've ever met a dog, but a calm dog might be ok, and I think children could be fun to live with so if you have little ones I'm sure I can teach them a thing or 2 about how to open the treat box!

Head down to the cattery and time within their opening hours if you think you have room in your heart for a silly little gentleman like me, or you can message or call for more information and to arrange a visit at a time that works for you.

Meowww my names Marmalade!! Might you be my new mum or dad?

I was living on the streets until a nice lady fed me and brought me to TheFirs! Sometimes she even still visits and brings me treats. Since I've been here I've learnt that I really like head scratches, treats and big long strokes! Comfy beds are amazing and I love being warm and dry with a full tum!

I'm still learning just how good people are, but I've got the basics and will come out to say hello. I even know my name 🐈

I'm a sweet boy, and have done ok living with other cats, but it would be much easier if we had a whole house instead of just a pen...

I'm now neutered, healthy, microchipped and just waiting for my 2nd jab, then I'm ready to go! 😽

Please come and visit me, I love spending time with people. And if you fall in love with me then that's even better! Hopefully see you soon!!! 😻

Our beautiful Lyra is now ready to find her purrfect family!

Lyra came to us at the beginning of September and was exceptionally fearful to the point of being classed as feral by her vet! But the progress she has made with our team is incredible, and although she still takes time to warm up (and still likes a good hiss) we think she is at the point where she is ready to continue her progress in a home environment.

She is a Russian Blue, and only 4 years old so she has many years ahead of her to learn to love more and more 💜

Lyra loves other cats, but would like a home without dogs or small children, and her new family need to be committed to helping her grow and build her confidence and not be afraid of a little hissing!

An important thing to note with Lyra, is that since having cat flu, she has remained a little sneezy and wheezy! The vets are happy with her health, she has daily supplements to help and none of her pen mates appear to have caught anything from her, however this is something to be monitored and a potential consideration for other cats in the home.

Lucas is ready to find his home!!! 💕🐾

Lucas has been here with us since the start of September last year, he was in a bad way, very shut down, terrified of people and would just hide in one spot all day every day, which is why we have kept him for so long.

However, this beautiful blue Burmese boy has come on amazingly well with our staff and volunteers, and we think he is finally ready to take that final step into his furever home.

He is 8 years old, neutered and good with other cats - in fact we would only be happy to send him to a home with other cats as he gains a lot of confidence from his friends. He would like a calm home, with adults and maybe teens, but no small children.

Lucas will need a lot of help adapting to his new home, with lots of time and commitment, but we will provide ongoing support for his new family and are only ever a phone call away!

SEE BELOW FOR THE WORLDS MOST AMAZING CHEEKS!!!

Jimmy Choo here is a gorgeous boy! Those cheeks are simply a result of not being castrated for so long. This is a problem which has now been fixed, and the vets said he was amazingly well behaved and loving, and have given him a clean bill of health!

Jimmy is a sweet boy, who loves a good fuss and a treat. He'd love a female cat companion, but he wouldn't appreciate dogs or small children as they can be a bit overwhelming.

Unfortunately, after years on the street, Jimmy is struggling to get the hand of using the litter tray. We are continuing to try different things to help him learn, but are potentially looking for a home where he can have an outdoor shelter, with someone who will still feed, look after and love him. He's a loving boy, so he does want a home where his new owner will spend some time with him, but we understand that unless he can keep his pees to where they're meant to be, the indoor life may not be for him...

Seeking foster or furever home for Daisy.

Daisy is a beautiful 9 year old tabby girl, who came to us because she was struggling to cope after her family grew by 2 human babies, and the stress was making her poorly. She isn't the most confident, and feels nervous around other animals, so she's looking for a quiet home with adults only and no other pets.

Daisy has been with us for a while but isn't enjoying life at the cattery with all the smells of the different cats, all the different people... its all too much for her and she just hides under her blanket 😿

Because of Daisys lack of confidence here, she doesn't make a great first impression for potential adopters and she keeps being overlooked. To try and help with this we are looking for someone willing to take Daisy in as a foster, help build her confidence in a more suitable environment for her and work with us to help her find her purrfect family (and be happy in the meantime)

Our poor little Lily is back with us again....

Lily thought she had found her forever home but due to no fault of her own, it wasn't meant to be 😿

Lily is about 6 years old, super chilled, friendly and attentive, good with children, other cats, and would probably be fine with a dog savvy cat.

Hello! I'm Jasper!

My old family left me behind when they moved away, so now I'm at The Firs trying to find my new (furever) family.

The cattery staff aren't 100% sure how old I am, I'm not a baby but I'm not an old man yet, they think I might be about 6. I don't know.. I'm just a cat 🐈

As you can see I'm a handsome tabby boy, I've had the all clear from the vets, and I'm mixing well with other cats here at the rescue (boys and girls) although I'm a bit confused by the tiny kittens I'm living with at the moment 😹

I'm just waiting for my 2nd vaccination and then I'm ready to go! Everyone that comes in gets a lovely greeting from me... I rub my face against them and purr and cuddle. But for some reason no one has wanted me yet... maybe its because I'm the biggest cat in my pen, but that just means I have even more love to give!

Please pop by and say hello to me and my friends, you never know, maybe you'll find that I'm the missing piece of your heart, and you can be the missing piece of mine! 🐱💚🤎😻

Gabanna would like to say a big "Thank You!" to Pawsome Pet Services and all the people who have contributed through them for the amazing donation we received today of food, beds, scratch posts and more!

Gabanna is one of 30 rescues that we are caring for at the moment - we are completely full, and that means we are going through food and vet bills faster than we can cope with! Donations of any kind help so much, as they mean we can help these babies better and get them ready to go home to where they truly belong 🥰
