I’m sure you all know the drill by now, but just a quick reminder to say i won’t be doing any walks over lunchtime or for an hour this week with the temperatures set to be 🔥🔥🔥 All walks will take place much earlier in the day, be short and in the shade and as always there will be plenty of water available for all of the gang and air conditioning in the car ❄️❤️ if anyone would prefer to switch their walk to a let out in the garden please let me know 🤩

Well it only took 13 years! The reason why I’m always in leggings even when it’s 1000deg 🔥 I had long boots on, leggings and a t shirt tucked in …and this guy still found a way in 😫🤦‍♀️ they’re out in long grass and wooded areas..all dog walking hot spots! When you’ve been out, remember to not only check your dogs but yourself too!

Well what epic thunderstorms we’ve just had! ⛈️… was everyone else thinking how much cooler it was for the dogs this morning, but also stressing that you left the garden cushions out 🤦‍♀️🤣 …after the heat I was tempted to run round the garden in the downpour 🤣

As the British weather is finally starting to warm up, it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with what temperatures are safe for your dog☀️🐶

Every year our vets treat hundreds of heat stroke cases and, heartbreakingly, some end in tragedy. Many are unfortunately a result of owners not knowing the dangers of exercising their dogs in temperatures to hot for them to handle.

Heat-related illnesses are almost always preventable. DONT TAKE THE RISK and make sure your pet isn’t overheating in the sun.

If you think your dog may be suffering from heat stroke, contact your vet immediately or, if out-of-hours, find your nearest emergency vet.
