Out wi' T'dogs

Ey up, it's time, let's grab t'leads,
Down country lanes an' through t'fields o' weeds.
Muddy boots an' tails that wag,
Chasin' owt that moves — tha's got to brag!
They sniff at posts, they bark at nowt, They roll in muck, then run about.
I shout "Come 'ere!" - they just ignore, Leg it down path an' want some more.
But truth be told, I wouldn't trade, These reyt grand strolls through wood an' glade.
Fresh air, a natter, skies so wide, Wi' loyal pups trottin' by me side.

🚨 Kennel Cough Outbreak in Huddersfield 🚨

We’re currently seeing a rise in Kennel Cough cases – a highly contagious condition that causes a harsh, hacking cough in dogs. Many owners describe it as sounding like their dog has something stuck in their throat.

🐾 Symptoms:
Coughing, reverse sneezing, retching, and foamy mucus (often mistaken for vomiting). Some dogs may have a fever or seem under the weather, though many remain lively and energetic.

🌬️ How it spreads:
Kennel cough spreads easily through social contact – on walks, at the groomers, kennels, or anywhere dogs mix closely.

💉 Prevention:
We recommend an annual kennel cough vaccination. If your dog hasn’t had one in the last 12 months, now’s a good time to book in. The vaccine we now use is given by mouth (orally), rather than up the nose, making it easier for most dogs to tolerate.

❗Important:
If your dog is showing signs of coughing, please keep them away from other dogs. If you have an appointment and we suspect kennel cough, you’ll be asked to wait outside the practice to help prevent spread to other patients.

Happy birthday to me!! 🥳 Would it even be a birthday celebration if it didn’t have animals involved 🥰 we went to today and it was theee best day ever! We had an amazing hands on experience with all the super cute animals. I now need a farm of my own!..

Oops! Sorry guys 😱 I’ve a public service announcement to make! I’ve been so busy helping with GCSE revision lately that I’ve completely missed my 12year dog walking anniversary!! 🤦‍♀️🥳 I’ve spent more time with Mr everything English than the other half, we’ve been doing power hours, flash cards, past papers, organising tutoring sessions and I’m still trying to navigate my way round the light up hub 🤷🏼‍♀️ I feel like I’m 16 all over again 🤣 So here’s a small snap shot of some of our lovely gang members having some fun this week and helping me to de stress.

We had the most amazing bank holiday weekend visiting Whitby. It was the first time Rudi has ever felt brave enough to have a go in the helicopter and what a super star he was! Normal service resumes tomorrow gang members 🐶

Last walk of the week and what a very hot week it’s been! 🥵 ….but we’ve got through it together and smashed it by keeping to the woods! Happy bank holiday weekend! 🥳 Walks resume on Tuesday 🥰 over and out 🚶🏻‍♂️🦮💨
