We had a bit of a disaster last Friday when Carol went to harrow the school.
Our trusty little tractor had a flat tyre!
The arena had to go unharrowed and Carol had to sort out a repair.
On a recommendation she rang Yorkshire Industrial Tyres today at 12.20 to see if they could help.
They most definitely could. They arrived at 12.50 and carried out the repair free of charge!
What absolutely brilliant service.
Check out their page.
Support like this is priceless.

It’s only 2 weeks to our next dressage event!
We can’t wait to welcome everyone.
Even if you’re not competing why not come along and browse our pop up shop and drop in for coffee and cake.
You can watch the action from the comfort of our viewing area.
Every penny you spend will go towards the running of our group.
We have some great bargains in our pop up shop - and our cakes are delicious!
Everyone welcome.

This morning volunteer Billy spent time sorting out all our grooming kits.
He was very methodical and laid them all out carefully to check they all had the correct items in. If items were missing or duplicated (which they were) he sorted them out!
Well done Billy.

This week our horticulture work placement student Jack has been very busy!
He’s given the area outside the office a makeover.
It looks absolutely brilliant. We’ve got room for a couple of seats to be able to sit outside the office now. And he’s trimmed the shrubs outside the office windows so we can now see out!
Well done Jack!

Earlier this week we had a fabulous donation of goodies from Elico Equestrian. (Jenkinsons Equestrian Wholesalers)

Recently Carol gave a talk to Northern Ladies and following on from that Elizabeth (who was one of the audience), organised a delivery of surplus and very slightly damaged stock.

There’s so much stuff we’re still sorting through it.

Lots of items will be put to great use here at WRDA including grooming brushes, haynets, electric fencing isolators, tubs, buckets etc etc.

Anything we don’t use for our horses will go on sale in our pop up shop! All the money raised will go directly to the running of our group.

The timing is perfect too as our next dressage event is on Sunday 23rd August so everyone will be able to grab a bargain then!

Yesterday Centre Manager Carol tried out our latest piece of tractoring kit!
It’s a Scoop and Tow poo collector!
It was bought from Farm & Yard Products with a grant from Gallagher.
And the verdict is it’s absolutely brilliant! Carol definitely gives it a big thumbs up.
Thank you Gallaghers for making this purchase possible. Our volunteers are very grateful! 😁

On Monday we welcomed Charlotte and Nikki from Gallagher for a volunteer day as part of their community programme.
They were a brilliant addition to the team. They helped move the electric fencing which in these dry conditions is hard work. Plus they also helped in our sessions and of course had plenty of time to bond with our ponies.
Help like this is priceless to a small charity like ours.
We are very grateful to be chosen!
Thank you so much Charlotte and Nikki.
