🐾 A Little Update from Glenbeets Cattery 🐾

We’ve recently been looking into extending the cattery slightly so we could accommodate more of our lovely customers — especially during those busy holiday periods when spaces fill up fast.

However, after the proposed budget announcement and the potential reduction of the VAT threshold, we’ve had to take a step back and really think things through. Expanding on a small scale simply wouldn’t make financial sense under the new plans, unless we were to turn the business into something much larger and more commercial… and that’s not what we want.

Our goal has always been to keep Glenbeets Cattery personal, hands-on, and family-run, where every cat gets individual attention and care — not to lose that by growing too big.

The changes announced could also make things more difficult for small independent businesses like ours, from rising costs and tighter margins, to reduced flexibility in how we price and plan improvements.

We’ll keep doing everything we can to provide the same high standard of care and comfort your cats deserve, but we wanted to be open about how these wider decisions can impact small, local businesses.

✨ What food is available?
We provide Whiskas wet and dry food. If your cat enjoys something different, you’re welcome to bring along their usual meals.

✨ Do you live on site?
Yes, we do! We also have set opening times to keep the cattery calm, quiet, and peaceful for all our guests.

✨ What are your opening times?
Currently, we’re open between 9–10am and 5–6pm. (These may be adjusted in the future to morning collections and evening drop-offs).

✨ What’s inside the cat lodges?
Each lodge comes with scratching posts, comfy beds, multiple levels to explore, a litter tray, and plenty of toys to keep your furry friend entertained.
