Happy International Charity Day! π
We thought this would be the perfect time to re-introduce our branch. β¨
We are an independent, mostly community-funded charity, set up to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals on the Isle of Wight. π
During their stay with us, our animals are given the best of care by our skilled team as well as nutritious food, vet care and rehabilitation support. The price of doing this is extremely high. Our branch costs Β£800,000 each year to run - we spend Β£80,000 a year on vet bills alone. Around 95% of our income is generated on the Isle of Wight and we receive limited financial support from the national RSPCA charity.
Much as we would like to, we canβt help every animal. Our animal centre is frequently at capacity, and unfortunately this limits the number of animals that we can help. π₯Ί
We support the RSPCA National Inspectorate by giving safe haven to animals rescued on the Island. The Isle of Wight has one Animal Collection Officer, employed by the national RSPCA charity and we endeavour to provide additional support where we can. ππΌ
At RSPCA Isle of Wight, our adoption policy aims to find every animal a safe, loving, and permanent home. The process includes an application, a photographic home check, and a chance to meet your potential new companion. π₯°
We carefully match pets with adopters based on lifestyle, home environment, and individual needs. Weβll consider each animalβs history and behaviour, including their relationship with children, other pets, and medical needs before making a match. π

ποΈ We have 4 charity shops across the Island in Ryde, Sandown, Ventnor and Newport. The full proceeds from our shops goes back into our Island Animal Centre.

Bohemia Boarding is our 5* Cat and Dog boarding service which runs from our Animal Centre in Godshill. This is another income stream that feeds into our Animal Centre. πΆπ± https://www.rspca-isleofwight.org.uk/bohemia-boarding/
We need all the help we can get from our community to keep going and helping as many animals as possible!
