Bit of a different post this morning!! 😀 I'm out on the farm with the day job fish this morning doing the daily Pond checks and feeding!! With the pools a few degrees cooler this week, down to an average of around 17'c the daily feed rations are also altered so as to optimise growth rates and not add feed which possibly won't be converted to growth!! That said ive still put in around 175kg of feed today around the farm, with feed prices continuously increasing its paramount that on a commercial scale i don't waste feed by feeding to much, yes it will still get eaten in most cases! But the return back from that feed will be less, say than introducing the right rations when the temperatures are higher (meaning the carp are converting more of the feed intake into growth) it can be very similar with the koi in your ponds!! Yes they will always be up wanting more, but feeding the same ration at cooler temperatures will not only make more work for your filter but can also alter the bodyshape of your koi, meaning those bigger bellies rather than growth and body mass!!

Unfortunately one of my customers are having to close down their pond, and has asked if I knew anybody who maybe interested in any of their equipment/livestock!! A quick scoop out of one of my 10cm Tosai tanks! Lots of variety in these bundles guys, including......
Shusui, Kohaku, Doitsu Metalics, Ochiba, Gin Rin Ogons, Sanke, Shiro Bekko, Kumonryu, Matsukawabake, Soragi, Chagoi to name just a few!! These are great if you have a smaller pond or if you're looking for something to put in the grow out and have some fun with!! Cheap as chips aswell 😀😀

The 15cm Chagoi/Soragi and Ochiba mix up and hand feeding already, I've never really thought to much about how chags are more friendly than other koi, and always dismissed it if I'm honest, but these little guys sure are proving me wrong!! What a great opening day to the new season!! Great to see lots of regular faces aswell as some new customers through the gates, A big thank you for your continued custom and a pleasure to meet new faces, as you can see the tanks always know when it's closing time and are up looking for there dinner!! 😊

I have a kids Easter egg hunt tomorrow so I'll be available after 3pm aswell as all day Sunday/Monday and next week (via appointment only)

A quick update on how this years stock are getting on aswell as a quick peak at the end of the video of just a few of this seasons 15cm pieces!! Over 2000 pieces available this season ranging from just 3" through too around 25cm+ aswell as a few larger pieces later in the season!! Look forward to seeing you all soon! 😀👍
