Do you want to improve your bond with your dog?
Then join our friendly training classes for puppies & older dogs.
We have the following classes starting soon, each are an initial 4 day course (1 day per week) costing £40 payable in advance.
They are held in a safe, secure outdoor paddock.
All training is fun based. No harsh methods allowed.
Dogs should be vaccinated or titrate tested & wormed. Puppies from 12 weeks old.
Agility open to dogs of 1 year plus. Must be fit, sound, have a good recall & stay.
Class 1: Basic Obedience.
Class 2: Agility starters.
Class 3: Recall through play.
To be held Friday evening or Saturday morning weather permitting.

Due to the weather we are only offering 1-1 training sessions at the moment as we only have a limited covered area for training.
Agility training will be held outdoors as normal if the conditions are suitable.
Class sessions will start when the weather improves hopefully by March.

Grooming dogs correctly & daily, especially long haired/wool coated breeds is a necessity.
There's nothing that puts a dog off being groomed quicker than having someone tug at knots & matts.
Due to the welfare act, groomers are obliged to do a full clip off.
Sadly, even though this is explained to clients, they still feel it's the groomer at fault because they wanted the dog left long.
To these people I say, how would you like to have to have knots & matts tugged out of your hair for several hours, yet you think a groomer should do that to your dog!
I am always happy to give a free session on how to brush your dog correctly to save them suffering.

As a vet/groomer I see so many longhaired and/or doodle dogs who are matted. You need to feel the coat right at the root not just at the surface. Shaving these dogs short if matted respects the animal welfare act. We cannot have them on a table for hours being brushed - the pain and discomfort would throw animal welfare out of the window!!

If you have a longhaired and or curly haired dog do discuss brushing with your groomer. You need to get it right to avoid unnecessary sores and discomfort. Start from a young age to get them used to it and do not just concentrate on the body! The legs and face get matted to.

Avoid the shave and trips to the vet by maintaining the coat. Your groomer will become your best friend as they will help hugely ❤️

Training classes for dogs from 12 weeks old.
These classes are designed to be fun & help you bond with your furry best friend.
They incorporate elements of Obedience, Rally & Agility and are held in a safe enclosed Paddock.
Also we run Introduction to Agility courses for dogs over 1 year old, where the emphasis is on fun for both you & your dog. New rubbered Contact equipment provides good grip leading to a confident dog.
£40 per 4 weekly sessions.

With regret, Blueberrys will reserve the right to charge a booking fee of £15.00 for new appointments, which will be non-refundable.
This will be deducted off the price of the groom on completion.
Sadly this is due to thoughtless people who book then don't show for the appointment or bother to cancel.
At the moment I am having to turn people away who are desperate to have their dogs groomed which makes this behaviour even more annoying.
