We are a Kennel Club registered dog training club based in Addiewell, West Lothian providing experienced training guidance to the surrounding area.

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to check out our page. We hold a range of classes on either a Monday or Thursday evening at Addiewell Community Centre. By coming to our classes you and your dog will benefit from the experience of our trainers, who have been involved in the dog obedience community for a number of years. Your dog will be socialised with a variety of other dogs, young and old.

🌟 Weekend Round-Up – Shotts DTC Success! 🌟

What a weekend it was for the Shotts team at Prestwick DTC (Saturday) and Knightswood DTC (Sunday) – sunshine, rain, and a showering of rosettes! ☀️☔🐶

🏆 Prestwick DTC – Saturday Highlights

Saturday brought the heat – literally! With unusually warm Scottish sunshine, both dogs and handlers worked hard in testing conditions. But that didn’t stop the wins rolling in:

🥈 Jenny & Brodie – 2nd Place Pre-Beginners
🥉 Susan & Emma – 3rd Place Pre-Beginners
🥉 Myra & Candy – 3rd Place Novice (More on this pair shortly! 👀)
🏅 Charlotte & Rustle – 4th Place A

What a strong showing from everyone – even the sun couldn’t slow you down! 🔥👏

🌧️ Knightswood DTC – Sunday Highlights

The weather may have turned, but our results didn’t! Our handlers braved the rain and brought home more well-deserved wins:

🎉 Jenny & Brodie – 10th Place Pre-Beginners
🏅 Margaret & Ryder – 6th Place Beginners
🏅 Loretta & Hartley – 7th Place Beginners (after a run-off!)

We want to say congratulations to our club members who won places at today’s show;

A MASSIVE well done to Margaret and Ryder, who won 1st Place in Beginners!! 🎉🎉

Also, another big shout out to Betty and Berty the Dachshund, who won 2nd Place in Beginners, and 5th in Pre-Beginners!! Well done you two! 🎉🎉

And another amazing well done to Jenny and Brodie who won their first ever rosette in today’s Pre-Beginners, taking 9th place. Fantastic result and we are so happy for you both. 🎉🎉

To our judges and stewards—thank you for your time, expertise, and fairness throughout the day. And a very special thanks to our amazing team of helpers who set up, packed down, provided lots of laughs and kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes—we couldn’t have done it without you!

Huge congratulations to all the winners and competitors in each class. The standard was fantastic, and it was a real joy to watch such talented and dedicated teams in the ring.

Well done, everyone—and thank you again for being part of a great day!

A massive well done to everyone who attended the Beginner Handler Heat tonight—wow, you all did absolutely brilliant! 👏

We had 8 teams competing for the placings, and we couldn’t be prouder of you all!
