Yard Manager Vacancy – Rothwell LS26
Our livery yard is on the lookout for a new Yard Manager!
We are one of the largest livery yards in Yorkshire, offering a wide range of services to our fab liveries, from DIY to Full and everything in between.
This makes for a busy day-to-day schedule with no day ever being the same.
The role is offered as a Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm position, with one in 4 Sundays (day off in lieu for this).
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills – you will be planning the daily activities of yourself and a team of staff, as well as reacting to a range of situations as they arise.
Sound experience with horses & ideally experience working in the equine industry, though this is not essential.
Good communication & people skills
The ability to handle situations, staff, horse owners, and horses in a calm and professional manner
Supervisory/management background & experience motivating a team would be highly beneficial
Physical ability to carry out yard duties such as mucking out, turning in/out, managing field fencing, etc.
