🐱Is yours the purrfect pad for Oreo? 🐱

This sweet boy is very loving and affectionate but can be a little bit sensitive. He can be unsure at first but is happy when settled. As you can see from Oreo's photo, he loves to play. 🐱 He will need to be the only pet in the home.

To find out the type of home he's looking for, take a look at his profile on our website https://tinyurl.com/39uw3usc

Bottles wanted for our Lucky Sip stall. 🍾🍾🍾

We're busy prepping for our Family Fun Day & Dog Show in September and noticed that our bottle stash is running a little low! Our Lucky Sip stall, where you take a chance and see what bottle you win, is really popular and makes lots of money for our cats and dogs. 🐶🐱

If you have any unopened bottles of alcohol that you don't want then we'll happily take them! Bottles of non-alcoholic drinks, squashes and cordials are also needed. You could always pop an extra bottle in for us when you're shopping. Cheers!🍾

You can drop donations off at our Reception between 10am and 2pm any day apart from Sundays and Mondays. If you wanted to look at our cats and dogs whilst visiting, please note that we're only open to visitors in our kennel/cattery areas on Wednesday and Saturdays from 11am to 2pm. 🐶🐱

🎂Please help Camel's birthday wish come true🎂

It's this gorgeous boy's 8th birthday today and we want to give him the best present ever - a new loving home. 🥳🥰

Sadly, Camel is really struggling with the stress of kennel life, he dislikes being on his own and is finding it tough. He's a big friendly giant, loves human company and wants to make friends with everyone he meets.🥰 He loves having cuddles and fuss and is a bit of a couch potato!

He can be reactive to other dogs at times, this can be made worse when he's stressed, but he's able to make doggy friends if introduced in the correct way. He wouldn’t need a huge amount of exercise if he had a medium to large garden to potter around in.

He's looking for a home where someone around for the majority of the day to keep him company. He'd happily live with teenage children but would need to be the only pet.

Please share and spread the word, we really do need to get him into a loving home as soon as we can. He really deserves it and it would make it the best birthday ever.🥰

To find out more about him, head to his profile on our website https://tinyurl.com/3njnzzha

Would you like a stall at our Family Fun Day?

We have some spaces left for stalls at our Family Fun Day and Dog Show at the Huncote Sports and Social Club on Sunday, 21st September 12 pm - 4pm. It's a really lovely event which raises funds to help us to continue to care for around 300 cats and dogs each year.

We're looking for stallholders particularly in the areas of pet products/services, activities for children and crafts. We don't need food/drink vendors (hot or cold) this time.

Please contact us by emailing [email protected] for more information and a booking form. There is a booking fee of £20 to help with fundraising. 🐱🐶

🐱We want to say a massive thank you to our lovely supporters who responded to our appeal for litter trays. 🐱 We know that our residents will love the little extra treats and toys that were generously donated too. 🥰

Little Guacamole had the best time exploring some of the goodies that arrived in the Cattery. 🐱 She also wanted us to say that she is looking for a home and is as cute as a button! 🐶Spaces still available on Wednesday 23rd July 🐶

Our first K9 Kids session is fully booked this week, but we still have spaces for the next one.

The free one-hour session is being held at our Centre in Huncote from 2pm to 3pm and will be led by an experienced dog professional along with his friendly dog, Ernie. It covers things such as what to do when meeting a dog and how to understand dogs' body language. 🐶

The session is open to those aged between five to 16 (under 8s must be accompanied by an adult) and is suitable for both kids that are worried around dogs and those that are more confident. 🐶

Spaces are limited as we like to keep the groups small, to book your place head over to our website https://tinyurl.com/mpvjk4rs

Please share this post and tag anyone you think would be interested.

We also have workshops running on Wednesday 6th and 20th August.

It's and we thought you'd like to meet sweet girl, Honey. 🥰🐱

This gorgeous one-year-old, who loves fuss, is looking for her purrfect home. She's also got a little favour to ask our lovely followers. She's heard that the Cattery is running a bit low on litter trays and on behalf of all the residents in the Cattery, is asking if you could help. 🐱

If you have litter trays (good condition) that you no longer use, could pick one up for us when you're out shopping or buy one from our Amazon Wishlist https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2GSPNPUHVVVCK?ref_=abls_nvfly_yl, we'd be very grateful. 🐱 Donations can be dropped off at the Centre every day apart from Sunday and Monday between 10am and 2pm.

To find out more about Honey and the type of home she's looking for visit the adoption pages of our website www.leicesteranimalaid.org.uk/adopting-a-cat/cats-for-adoption
