Maggie has been taking it easy in foster whilst she is recovering from her spay and her hernia operations. It’s extremely warm today so under the watchful eye of her foster family she has been allowed her suit off.. 👀

Her stitches are looking fabulous and we can’t to see her back to full strength in a few days! 🩷

Biggy is a lovely, lively, bouncy 6 year old boy who has been in foster for nearly 160 days 💔

Here is his adoption critera...

🖤 Can Biggy live with other dogs?
To give Biggy the best chance of a happy rehoming, we feel he should be the only king in his castle.

🖤 Can Biggy live with cats?
Biggy is untested but its unlikely he will be able to live with a cat.

🖤 Can Biggy live with children?
Children aged 12 years and over yes, but no young resident or visiting children.

🖤 Is Biggy playful?
Yes Biggy loves playing with his toys.

🖤 Is Biggy house trained?
Yes he is a very good boy.

🖤 Does Biggy love people?
100% he does.

🖤 Does Biggy need a home where his new owners have experience of Bullbreeds and their quirky traits?
Yes, Biggy would benefit from being rehomed to an experienced dog owner.

🖤 Does Biggy like walking?
Yes, Biggy needs a walk every day, he loves walking .. its essential he is rehomed where his owner wants to take Biggy out.

🖤 Does Biggy bark?
Only at the washing machine when it spins 😂

🖤 How is Biggy in the car?
Biggy is great in the car so his new owners will have no concerns taking him on journeys

🖤 Where can Biggy be rehomed to?
Biggy is in the Midlands and we will consider the perfect home for him anywhere on mainland UK .. depending on where the new home is, we might be able to help with travel.

There must be a home out there for Biggy, he is a fabulous little boy who accompanies his foster dad to the pub, on long walks and on trips back & forth to Scotland.

Please send Rolo some love 💔

Poor is in foster in Scotland and he is having of a rough time 😪

He is having bouts of sickness and congestion and after a 2nd vet visit, the vet is querying megaoesphagus 😪

Rolo is on a course of steroids and antacids to help with his inflamation & reflux and his food is now soaked, rolled into balls and hand fed to him so he tilts his head up and extends his neck, to help the food transit to his stomach.

We need to let the steroids run their course before he has x-rays to understand why he keeps being sick & he is booked in for those on 6th May 🙏

He is the sweetest little boy who is so scared if men outside the home he literally trys to make himself dissapear my rolling into a ball if a man approaches him - its truly hearbreaking to witness 😪😪 and goodness knows what terror he has endured to provoke such an extreme response 😭

So we need to send lots if healing love & support to Rolo, he has a bit of a journey ahead of him, and we will stop at nothing to get him healthy and provide him with a safe and loving home 🙏🙏

We hope you start to feel better very soon Rolo 🙏❤️‍🩹🙏

A heart-breaking update 💔

We share this message with very heavy hearts.

Rescue work brings moments of deep joy—but also moments of immense sadness and tough decisions.

Today, we have some devastating news to share, and we do so with the same openness and honesty we’ve always promised you.

In the past six months, we’ve seen an unprecedented number of dogs with severe behavioural challenges—especially human aggression. Many of these dogs have come to us as strays from pounds, with no history or background. Without that vital information, we often don’t know what trauma or triggers they may carry until it’s too late.

Our fosters are provided with information about the dog coming into their home and are supported by us 24/7 whilst the dog is in assessment. We work very closely with our fosters who update us, sometimes many times a day, with information about the dog they are caring for.

But despite our very best efforts, our team has faced heart breaking situations with some of these dogs.

Loki, who had been returned after uncharacteristic lunging and biting, was involved in multiple incidents that left people injured. With five different bite incidents, and for the safety of all involved, we made the painful decision to let him go 💔

Woody, too, had shown promise in his foster home. You may remember he came to us after being scheduled for euthanasia due to growling. He had been mostly settled—until last week.
Sadly, out of the blue, Woody attacked his foster and bit her severely, requiring hospital care.
After careful consultation with our trusted vets and in line with charity commission regulations—which prohibit us from rehoming dogs with known aggression—we had no choice but to help both Loki and Woody peacefully over the rainbow bridge 💔

These decisions weigh heavily on all of us.

We loved them. We fought for them. And we mourn them.

Both boys were not alone as they left us, they were being hugged and loved by their foster families who have been left utterly heart broken 😓💔

We kindly ask that everyone consider the emotional toll this has taken on our foster carers—particularly Woody’s foster, who is not only physically injured but deeply affected by this loss 🙏

We are wishing her a gentle and speedy recovery, and we hope that all comments reflect the compassion and kindness she so deserves.

So, boys, your trauma is over, and you are no longer haunted by your previous life and events that you couldn’t get past ❤️‍🩹

Run free boys, enjoy your new life at Rainbow Bridge free from your inner demons, gone but never forgotten 🐾🌈🐾

Welcome to Geordie Bullies!

Thank you for visiting our page and wanting to learn more about us. Geordie Bullies is a breed Specific English bulldog Rescue. The Rescue was founded by Helen Edwards and Clair Knox both from Newcastle who both are very passionate about the breed we know and love. The charity was formed in 2016 when Helen and Clair recognised that there was a huge amount of bulldogs being sold or given away due to breed related issues, those being used as a commodity and were at risk.

The charity at present has over 80 volunteers/fosters around the UK. We are a non profit organisation and rely solely on donations from the public to rescue and rehabilitate the bulldogs in our care. We only use foster homes for our bully babies. Every bulldog that arrives with us is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed and micro-chipped before it is re-homed.
