🌟 What a fantastic day we had at Prestatyn Carnival on Saturday! 🌟

We were thrilled to be part of the event with our NCAR stall, Fun Dog Show, and carnival float — and what a day it was!

We’re absolutely over the moon to share that we won the Mayor’s Theme Award in the parade with our magical Wizard of Oz float! 🏆 We came home with some fabulous trophies and an amazing £250 prize! 💰

It was a true team effort – huge thanks to our brilliant float team, both on the trailer and behind the scenes, who brought our theme to life so beautifully. 💚

The dog show was buzzing with activity, and our judges had such a tough job choosing between all the gorgeous dogs! Meanwhile, our stall and tombola were incredibly busy, and thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we raised a fantastic £761.05 for the animals in our care! 🐾

Prestatyn Carnival Dog Show!
Once again we had plenty of awesome dogs entering every round, our judges had a really tough time choosing the rosette winners.

But by the end of the show it was 14 year old Leo who stole their hearts.

Thanks to everybody who came out to support NCAR, our animals greatly appreciate it!

Also thanks to our judges, Adam , Jenna , Lorraine and Kaylyn for having to make those super hard decisions!

A very big thank you to the Crabtree family for thinking of us after their Dad, Neils' funeral, and collecting an amazing donation on our behalf. It was wonderful to see Izzy doing so well. Also thank you to Sue for making some lovely blankets we can give out when animals go to their new homes.

🎉🐾 Not long now until Prestatyn Carnival – this Saturday 19th July!
Join us for a Fun Dog Show at 2pm on the carnival playing fields – look out for our bright orange NCAR gazebo! We’ll also be joining the parade, so be sure to give us a big wave and cheer as we pass! 🎈🐶

RAW Food Appeal
We're running very low on raw dog food, and sweet Holly and Atari at NCAR are really struggling without it!
Raw food is essential for their health and wellbeing, and right now we only have a few portions left. If you’re able to donate any raw dog food, it would mean the world to us – and especially to Holly & Atari and a few of their friends.
Every donation helps keep our rescue dogs happy, healthy, and thriving while they wait for their forever homes.
Donations can be dropped off at NCAR or sent directly to us.
If you'd like to help, please get in touch – and thank you so much for your support!

Important Notice for Our Amazing Volunteers

Due to the current high temperatures, we kindly ask all our volunteers not to walk the dogs after 11am for the safety and wellbeing of our animals. It’s simply too hot, and we must act responsibly to protect them.

However, there are still plenty of other ways you can help! If you’re available to volunteer in a different capacity, please pop into reception and ask how you can support the charity and our animals in other valuable ways.
