🐾 50p Friday 🐾

Please help if you can as lots of little amounts add up.

Kiki continues to do well with her kittens and their weights are good for the moment. Such a relief!
We still need to pay off her bill and kindly received £150 towards this yesterday so quite abit to go to reach £1000. The vets will want payment by the end of the month so it’s vital we get this raised.

We also had Isla back in the vets as she was still coughing and not eating much. She’s started antibiotics and we are hopeful this helps. Her bill was £292 (attached).

Last week we were asked to help a poorly kitten who has flu. He saw the emergency vets as he was lethargic and he was given some medication but had not improved so is now on antibiotics. Due to our lack of funds and space, he has another rescue to go to but could not be transported there until today but we have covered his bill up until now and he’s been in Chloe’s bathroom. He’s a gorgeous little thing.

Alongside that we have still had cats to neuter, chip, take to the vets for lots of other things like all their routine medications etc.
Multiple messages every day asking us to trap, scan or help cats that we just can’t always help. At the moment, we can rarely help and it’s certainly not because we don’t want to. We really do.

We are doing everything we can to raise funds and have uploaded hundreds to our vinted this week, doing giveaways, got things ready for a carboot but alongside running the rescue too and working full time jobs (Amy even started a new job this week), it’s really tough. Everyone who helps here is amazing but we need to keep going with your support.

Consider helping if you can. Sharing, donating, commenting, adopting, doing fundraisers, supporting our support page, it all helps and we appreciate it.

Kiki news🐾

So Kiki got back to her foster home late last night and we introduced the kittens to her where she was familiar with all the smells she has been used to. They squeaked and her mum instinct kicked in. She began cleaning them and let them latch. 🥰
They will be monitored closely as she still may reject them but this is a good start and what will give them the very best chance.

We will keep you updated on this special little family.

Some people have asked how they can donate for Kiki and we were going to wait until 50p Friday but it’s only a days difference so it’s 50p Thursday instead.
Kiki’s bill will be around £1000 or more but will share later today. We will need to pay it off by the start of August along with the bills at our other vets.

Please help if you can.

💜 Marble and Mouse are ready for adoption! 💜

Marble and Mouse were born in a garden to a stray mum cat. A local resident looked after them and mum until they were weaned, then reached out for help finding the kittens forever homes (she has neutered and kept mum). They came to us a few weeks ago but they were quite shy to start with so stayed with their lovely foster mum whilst she worked on their confidence and they are now ready for their forever home!

Marble is a confident little lady with a love for all things food. She is happy to receive affection and has a deep purr to back that up! She is inquisitive and the leader of the two sisters. Mouse has a mouth on her and likes to use it! A bit shy at first, once she knows you she is very chatty. She loves a head scratch and belly rub but prefers not to be picked up. She is more interested in interacting with you than food and she has the loudest purr I have ever heard from such a little kitty.

Marble and Mouse are approximately 12 weeks old and are up to date with flea and worm prevention. They will have their first vaccination and a final health check before leaving us. The adoption fee also includes microchipping and neutering (when they reach 2Kg).

Please fill in our adoption form (on the first tagged post on our page) or message us if you are interested in adopting these beautiful girls.

Please also share this post wherever you can to help get the word out!

As the day comes to a close, it’s been a really rough one, even a rough few weeks with the most losses we have ever had.

Mum Kiki is out of surgery and 2 out of 4 kittens were born sleeping following her c-section earlier today.
The remaining two are very small but are fighters. When they were born, they were slow to show signs of life and were placed in an oxygen tent. They are requiring hand rearing as young Kiki is so confused by everything at the moment but hopefully she accepts them soon.

Picture of Teddy on a baby play mat which now belongs to him and Rexxy- simply because we have no other pictures of shy Kiki just yet and when things are abit rubbish, it’s good to keep track of those moments of joy.
