What a fantastic day we had at the Great North Run this year. Our amazing team of runners were incredible and have raised over £24k so far!!

We really can’t thank you all enough for your efforts. We hope you all had a fab day and we can’t wait for next year 🥇🥳😍

Wow! Thank you so much to Jess for helping us with Chucky this morning. Chucky was unfortunately very badly matted when he arrived at our adoption centre but after visiting Jess he is now matt free and looking and smelling fabulous!! Stray Aid reached out to me to ask if I could give Chucky a little spruce up. He was taken in as a stray.

Chucky is the most loving and affectionate dog. He loves a cuddle and kiss and his squeaky toys! Chucky would love nothing more than a comfy sofa to snuggle up at nights on.

Charlie completed the junior Great North Run for Stray Aid yesterday.

He was amazing and has raised lots of money to help the dogs and cats.

🐾🐶Fundraiser for Stray Aid- Get involved this August🐾🐶

Throughout the month of August, our dedicated Stray Aid rehoming supervisor, Lyn, is making some big changes to help raise money for our stray and unwanted dogs. She’s giving up her daily takeaway coffees and fizzy drinks—and instead of spending, she’ll be saving and donating every penny to Stray Aid. These purchases can soon add up to a lot of money and making these small changes can make a huge difference!

On top of that, she’s listing at least one item a day on online selling platforms, with all proceeds going directly to help our dogs in need.
Now she’s asking: Can you join in too? Whether it's giving something up, hosting a car boot sale, doing a sponsored walk, or listing a few unused items online—every effort, big or small, helps Stray Aid continue its vital work.

Make August a month of kindness. Get creative, raise what you can, and help give stray dogs a second chance at life. If you’d like to get involved just leave a message below or email [email protected] for more info.

Stray Aid is running short on bedding & towels for the dogs and we need your help. If anyone has any spare bedding they can donate it would be gratefully received. I will list below what we can and cannot use for the dogs 🐕🐕

We can accept:
✅ Medium-large towels
✅ Sheets
✅ Quilt covers
✅ Blankets

We are unable to accept:
❌ Quilts
❌ Cushions
❌ Pillows
❌ Pillow cases
❌️ Hand towels
❌️ Carpets

Hello there, I’m looking for my forever sofa… I mean, home!

My name is Fudge and I'm a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd. 🐶

I’ve got a heart full of love and I’m ready to share it with someone special. Could that be you? ❤️

I’m a gentle soul with a soft spot for cuddles, belly rubs, and the quiet life. I’m quite laid back most of the time — you’ll often find me snuggled up in a cosy spot, just watching the world go by. But don’t be fooled! I also adore a good walk. There’s nothing better than stretching my legs, having a sniff around, and exploring new places at my own pace.

I’m not one for the hustle and bustle — I’d much prefer a calm home where I can be the only dog. I’d also be happiest without little ones running about, so an adult-only home is what I’m looking for.

I do still require a bit of training and a bit of help around socialisation.

I would definitely benefit from a home where there is a garden. One of my favourite things to do is have a mooch around the outside where I can use my nose and also have a nice snooze on the grass.😴

All I really want is a human (or two) who’ll love me, give me a warm spot to nap in, and maybe join me for a little stroll now and then. In return, I promise to be your loyal, loving companion through thick and thin.🥰
