The long stay dogs in our care are in need of new jumpers and jackets as the winter sets in. These are needed for Daisy who is now 10 and gets rather chilly at night, Billy now 6 who loves to run around even in the rain but then gets very cold, Harvey & Hope who are very active in all weathers but then hate being wet at the end.
We will be most grateful for any donations received and will post photos of them proudly sporting them once we receive them. https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/boxerrescuesouthern?locale.x=en_GB

We have sad news to report that we had to say our final goodbyes to Bruno.
He arrived in our kennels at 11months old and was particularly difficult. He was very quickly placed in a home but within a few weeks this did not work due to him being a nervous dog and unfortunately he found himself in some situations in the home where he felt he had to bite multiple people to keep himself safe. We did send a well known behaviourist to help but she only recommended that he be put to sleep. Which is when our current trainers stepped in to foster and train him. He stayed in their care for 12 years, whilst still a Boxer rescue dog, paid for by the charity as there never was a home suitable where he could have thrived and be kept safe at the same time. He was loved like their own dog and lived a life full of adventures with all his Boxer brothers and sisters and he recently just had his 13th birthday which he enjoyed on the beach with them. He was still full of life and joy even upto his last few hours.
Rest in peace Bruno.

Gorgeous 16 months old Tommy was 24hrs away from being put to sleep after being found wandering the streets and taken to the pound, so we stepped in to help. He is likely a Staffie X Boxer. He is super friendly with everyone he meets, has tonnes of energy and is undergoing some training as he has had none. He is looking for his forever home. If you are interested in knowing more about Tommy please complete our online application form, or phone 07831 173240 for more information. www.boxerrescuesouthern.co.uk/adopt-a-dog
