Sunday 22nd - Open.

We will be working on general training incorporating Working Test scenarios and problem solving. Looking at different test scenarios you may have come across on the WT circuit this summer.
We have afew spaces on each of these days please email me if you would be interested.

We have our September/October weekend training dates out now. These will be based in Northumberland.

6/7 - junior/Novice
13/14 - Novice
27/28 - Novice/Graduate
Oct
4/5 - Novice/Graduate

These courses will be partly on game where possible when hunting.

Cold game may also be used, subject to availability and dogs ability.

The weekends will be broken down into different elements of work for dog and handler. Some of the weekend will be working on building up retrieving elements and exercises appropriate for course level.

Steve will be looking to help handlers iron out issues they may have at the start of the Shooting and Field Trialing season.

BEGINNER - WEEKEND TRAINING
7th and 8th June
Northumberland.
Several spaces are still available.

This course will cover all the basics for you and your dog including:
Heel work, the use of the whistle, getting to grips with traching your dog to quarter properly.
Retrieving from scratch building up with a variety of excersises for you both.

Thus is one of the most important levels of course you can do to get all the 'basics' in place.

Although this is generally for younger dogs, remember, if you have nit done anything/much with your dog, you STILL need to get a grip of the basics, so all welcome.

For those who don't know.
We are moving!!

Steve and I are moving upto Northumberland this April.

2024 Borders courses have come to an end.
Thank you everyone for joining Steve and I we thoroughly enjoyed this year's shenanigans.
Guns, you need to practice for next year.
My new mantra is I must manage my expectations.
Things I discovered:
Pears go really well with Black pudding.
Toasted Haggis and cheese sandwiches, these are a game changer folks.
Chinese five spice game sausages......yum.
We had unbelievably good weather.
Will touch down in Devon on Monday evening .
Again thank you to everyone who came up, you were all brilliant sports.
Wr are lucky to have a plies of different grounds we use and we are so grateful to all our hosts for this.

Hi Folks.
Steve and I would like to thank everyone who has attended training workshops around the country with us.
From Emblehope in Northumberland to Sussex and OF course down here in Devon.
It's been a funny old spring and summer so well done for your commitment.

Steve has also had a staunch group of handlers who come for 1 to 1 training throughout this period, again thank you for your support.

We both hope you have a fab shooting season weather you trial or just work your dogs on a shoot.

Have fun folks.

Home today back from a two day ground treatment training workshop.
Some seanic pictures from Emblehope & Burngrange.
We had a really good bunch of handlers which makes the days go really well. Steve and I took a group each and we were so lucky to also have Rob Gould with us training a group over the two days.
Asalways our thanks to Raymond and Ann Holt for thier support.
They are gearing upto the start of their shooting season and we would like to wish them luck.......
