Who remembers sweet Snoopy, who now has the magnificent name of Prince Louis? He is the little dog with hearing loss, visual impairment and neurological issues who went to live in Cornwall with Debbie and little Lexi, who is also deaf. We get regular updates and he is making fantastic progress and what a milestone he has achieved! From reacting to strangers and generally finding the world a scary place to being able to take part in a village dog show!
I've had him for 10 weeks now and I'm so proud of Prince Louis. I took him to a local village fete on Monday, and he was very well behaved despite lots of people and dogs, a lady on stilts blowing giant bubbles, children running around, and people on mobility scooters. He even let the judge in the dog show gently pet him - remarkable considering a few weeks ago he was barking loudly at any person he didn't know - and he won third in best rescue and third in most handsome dog. When we got home it wasn't long before he was fast asleep in his favourite place behind the sofa.
He's still a work in progress with regard to fast moving things such as cars, joggers and cyclists but wow! Well done Prince Louis.
