The Dogworks - Puppy Foundations, Dog Training & Activity Centre At The Dogworks™ we're completely dedicated to dogs. Our team of experienced and qualified trainer Everything dog all under one woof!

The Dogworks Canine Club is Ayrshire's first and ONLY complete canine care and training facility in the whole of Ayrshire! Based in Kilwinning in North Ayrshire, we have a purpose built 1000 sq ft centre dedicated to all things dog! Fun-filled and educational for both dogs and their owners we strive to provide everything you need for your 4 legged best friend - indoor safe and secure doggy daycare

and dog walking, training classes and workshops, a doggy spa and groom room and a shop stocked with healthy treats and fabulous toys and training aids. The Dogworks Training Academy is run by Karen; a fully qualified dog training and behaviour consultant and team are fully trained and qualified in canine care and first aid and we are completely covered by Petplan Sanctuary Business Insurance.

Happy Birthday to the lovely Piper this morning.

Piper loves nothing more than playing ball (well maybe the sofa😆), any ball will do and she may or may not let you join in with her. She also gives the very best snuggles 💞

So hands up.... who got caught in that rain earlier? I think we've just about dried out from this mornings class which was beautiful until it really wasn't 🌧️😆

Fortunately the Dogworkers haven't had to worry to much about wet weather last week and there was plenty of sunbathing, paddling pools, ball pits and sniffing games to keep them entertained, along with a giant tennis ball!

Walks have been pretty much off in favour of garden time and we may have had to have a word about sofa manners but fortunately there were a few willing volunteers to show the others how relaxing should be done 💤

Here are a few of the gang going about their days and for those we missed we will get you this week 📷

Hope you've been enjoying your weekend and having some fun with your dogs, the Dogworkers certainly had a ball last week even if some of them wouldn't cooperate with photos ..... combined with some dodgy photo skills from Mandie 🙈 You'll have to trust us that Lola was loving the treat ball being out 1 half decent photo out of about 30 taken and an awesome slow-mo video which mainly featured the floor!

There were our usual scent games through the whole unit and garden, well minus the kitchen (Oscar says we're spoil sports!), sniffy walks, games of chase and the paddling pool was a hit as always 💦 We even got time for some group training sessions before it was time to have a nap and cuddle up with friends. Honestly the cuteness would melt your heart! 💞

It’s been another tail-wagging week at The Dogworks with the Dogworkers soaking up the sunshine (although there may be a riot with the return of the rain!), splashing in the paddling pool, heading out on sniffy strolls, enjoying hanging out with their friends and we're pretty sure Hudson was pretending to be Batman in his photo🌞💦🐶🦇

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Poppy to the crew as she joined Puppy Academy🐾 She was gently welcomed by the gang, and it didn’t take her long to find her paws. Poppy & Poppy are going to make quite the team and Cooper proved to be a good snuggle buddy💞 . We’re so proud of how kind and calm everyone was around her but that's the Dogworkers through and through. 💜

We had the absolute pleasure of spending Mac's birthday with him on Wednesday and like to think he had fun 🎂

Mac is the funniest of boys giving us lots of attention, his best fire engine impression and playing with his friends until 2pm. At 2pm it's nearly time to go home and looks clockwork he goes and sits near the gate getting ready to be picked up! If he had a glass slipper he'd be leaving it on his ready out the door!

We have a huge apology to make to the small but mighty Charlie as we wish him a belated Happy 8th Birthday 🥳

Charlie is one of the original Dogworkers and loves to meet any newbies coming in to join the gang, although his little brother Reggie would much prefer if Charlie would stop being such a social butterfly! 🦋

We hope you'll forgive us Charlie and we promise we're going to make it up to you (starting with not asking you to wear the birthday hat!)

What a gorgeous weekend, hope you and your dogs have been enjoying a cheeky ice cream or two 🍦

I'm sure it will be no surprise that the activities for the Dogworkers have been mainly focused around sunbathing - being brought in because they might get too hot (spoil sports that we are!) and playing in the paddling pool - or avoiding everyone that was playing the paddling pool 😆

Basically the Dogworkers have been loving the sun! It has meant that we have changed our walks but the guys enjoyed search and sniffy games instead. All-in-all a fun time has been had by all and home made banana ice pops are on the menu for this week 🍌🐾

and the next Happy Birthday is to young Moose who turns a big 1 today! Where has the time gone?

Moose is the sweetest boy, who does the best impression of a kangaroo at times and who wants to be everyone's best friend, it has been a pleasure watching you grow up.

The first is a belated Happy Birthday to Harry, no wonder he was grumpy the other morning not getting his birthday post!!!

We have a Happy 4th Birthday to wish Sybel today🥳

Whether she's hang out in the unit welcoming newbies into the gang, joining in training classes or surfing the waves at Dogs & Dips Sybel is always up for having some fun and trying her paw at something new with her friends & even better when she brings her Mum (and Grandma) along with her.

It has been a pleasure to watch you grow into the fantastic dog you are Sybel and it only seems two minutes ago that you first walked in the door of The Dogworks 🐾

Have a fabulous day celebrating and thank you for bringing cake in for all your friends - four legged and two!

After a couple weeks away the Dogworkers are back with their regular Sunday post 🐾

While we've been quiet on the social media side the Dogworkers have been their usual sociable selves. There's been playing with friends, nice walks, lots of sniffs with the botanicals, some training here and there, more sunbathing then you could shake a stick at and of course the paddling pool is back out much to most of their delight💦 (Hudson begs to differ though😆)

So here are the gang going about the last week or so and if you have tomorrow off enjoy. We'll be hang out with the Monday gang before heading to Hoopers class in the evening.

Our Story

The Dogworks is an award winning dog training centre, based in Kilwinning in North Ayrshire - a purpose built 1000 sq ft centre dedicated to all things dog! The Dogworks is run by Karen; a fully qualified and accredited dog training and behaviour consultant with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, INTODogs, the Pet Professional Guild of Great Britain, and a Certified Trainer with ICAN. All the team are fully trained and qualified in canine care, dog training and first aid. It’s important in an unregulated industry that you check out whoever you hire to help with your dog, we’re proud of our qualifications and ethos and are completely transparent.

Our services include group training classes, private in-home training packages and behavioral consultation and support if you need a bit of extra help. We’re here to help you have the relationship you’ve always wanted with your dog!

We are completely covered by Petplan Sanctuary Business Insurance.
