We have a two hour hack going into Cirencester Park at 11am on Sunday 31st August.
This hack is for confident and capable adults and older teens only that are able to ride independently and are good in open spaces.
Cirencester Park is a fabulous place to explore the countryside in a horse friendly environment.
The long grassy rides and woodland tracks with no vehicles and few other riders gives us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a couple of peaceful hours in the saddle.
We have sensible, mannerly, well schooled horses for you to ride.
Please contact us in all the usual ways.
If you haven’t ridden with us before we have a 14stone weight limit and you will need an assessment first before booking.
The cost is £130 including refreshments on your return.

The final day of Summer Camp was perfect.
Happy campers and happy ponies.
It has been our absolute pleasure to host yet another successful three days where all the children have achieved fabulous, personal goals.
The Rodeo Rustlers, The Buckaroos and The Mustangs are most welcome to come back again next year.
Thank you to my amazing staff. Without you we can’t be Greenhill.
Last and by no means least a huge thanks to Jason for feeding camp for three days.

This is just the best Summer camp.
After a chilly night, a hearty breakfast was had before the start of a very busy riding day. Dressage tests learned and practiced, cross country fences jumped, show jumping courses learned and practiced, tack scrubbed and polished, plaiting mastered, stables pristine ( they are getting the hang of standards!) and a lovely BBQ supper before games and rounders.
I hope they all get a good nights sleep before competition day. Who’s going to take home the ribbons? Who will win a trophy and a sash?
It’s anyone’s guess. Watch this space to find out.
Good luck to all the campers tomorrow. We are all cheering you on.

1 more sleeeeeep! Campers! We are ready for you! Camp breakfast at 8.30am tomorrow. See you then.

Welcome to Scarlet’s new 3 year old thoroughbred, Pine cliffs, aka ? Suggestions in the comments, he needs a stable name.
UPDATE: name decided is Rocky.
This is such a sweet boy just out of racing so a way to go to help him adjust to his new life.
Congratulations Scarlet, he’s fallen on his feet with you as his mum.

I do love BE event.
Homer did a great dressage, the first time I’ve felt totally in control and he was working with me not side eyeing the boards, judge, blade of grass in the wrong place. So very happy with that.
He was on springs for the showjumping and felt great but made the distances very short so I had a very uncharacteristic two poles down. To be fair I didn’t really mind because he felt great. Just bad luck and I’m learning every time how to ride this very peculiar beast. Cross country was, um! Interesting. On the 10 second count down Homer decided to plop his tongue over the bit which made the first few fences a delicate juggling act of trying to steer and control him whilst not pulling him around so he could readjust his tongue.
The cross country course was very interesting with lots of bright fences, undulations and lots of galloping and twists and turns. A real challenge for some, Homer included. I love this kind of course. It becomes a proper test for horse and rider.
Homers brain went into meltdown a few fences in and he started to hurl himself at the fences with little or no care to my safety, I have no idea why, so we ended up trotting into a few to reconnect his brain and make him slow down his thought process. So, time faults aplenty, we came home safely and having learned some more about each other. We will head off to West Wilts in a couple of weeks to have another crack at it.
Thanks to for the beer for not a double clear, which went down well. Delicious.

A brief pause in the craziness for another lovely lunch cooked by Jason, to say Bon voyage to Amelia and a big thank you for all your hard work. Amelia is going to “down under” to play polo ponies for a few months. We are hopeful she will come back and join us for a UK winter!! Have fun Amelia.
After work drinks and supper and time to relax ahead of a busy weekend.
Thanks as always to the team. Without you, we cannot be Greenhill.

Our first pony day of the summer holidays was a blast.
Split into three groups, 16 children experienced hacking, gymkhana and plenty of pony time. With gallons of blackcurrant squash, muffins and water melon consumed, everyone went home happy and tired. Em can testify that tiring out this lot was a tall order.
Have a look at our pinned posts on fb and insta for more summer activities and don’t forget your bookings and dates if you have already made them.
