π¨ Just a note about last minute cancellations π¨
Hi everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to talk about something thatβs been massively affecting me lately: last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours) and no-shows. Since last Monday I have had eight, four being with less than 24 hours notice, and four being just plain no-shows.
As a one-to-one groomer, I work on an appointment-only basis. When you book a slot, that time is reserved just for you and your dog. I donβt double-book or rush appointments.
When appointments are cancelled at the last minute, or when someone doesnβt show up at all, that slot goes unpaid and unused . Unlike larger salons, I canβt just slot another dog in with no notice. That means a direct loss of income that I canβt recover, and as a self employed small business owner, it really hurts. It takes a large percentage of my income for the day away. Unfortunately, I will be starting to enforce my cancellation policy as I can't absorb the cost anymore, as well as taking deposits for people who repeatedly do this. I will be posting and pinning the T&Cs to the top of this page for anyone interested in previewing them.
I do tend to send confirmation of your next groom on the day you book it, please message me if I haven't, and please put it in your diary with as many reminders as you need. I also send reminder texts the day before as well, but do not rely on those in order to cancel.
Your support means everything to me. I truly love your dogs and I adore what I do, Iβm grateful to each and every one of you who trusts me to take care of your pups.
