Alexander Vets Ulverston We are a small animal vet practice based in Ulverston, Cumbria providing professional health care for your beloved pets.

Alexander Vets Ulverston is a small animal veterinary practice based in the South Lakes region of Cumbria. We are situated in the market town of Ulverston. Our veterinary team is made up of 2 surgeons and 4 qualified nurses. As a training practice, we also have student veterinary nurses undertaking their practical training with us. We see a range of wonderful pets, from Great Danes to Chihuahuas, cheeky moggies to Maine Coones!

Due to a leak within the building we have had to close today. All appointments with myself today have been contacted. We do apologise for the inconvenience. Any medication that has already been pre-ordered the last few days will be dropped off by hand today.

Any Treats or Kong toys that are bought here from Alexander Vets Ulverston over the next 2months, will have the same (or similar) product donated free of charge to: Animal Refuge, Animal Welfare and our Local RSPCA branch.
We already have 3 packets of treats and 1 Kong toy in the "sharing is caring bag" ready to be donated.

Last week Sullivan came in for his PHC 6month check. His brother Gilbert came along for the ride (and loves the vets, I get the best cuddles). Sullivan is happy to stay by his mums side, but lets me do his exam just fine. We are going to work on some social visits 🐶. See you both soon.

Bambi and Sky have both been in this morning to have a mini check up following their 1st and 2nd vaccinations and microchips. We checked both chips today on 'Check Chip Day'.
Their mini owners both helped too, which was lovely to see them so involved.

What a lovely visit from Nell this morning, who brought her human in to collect her Purina adult dog food. Nell had her weight checked today along with a body condition score by our Registered Veterinary Nurse.......who gave her the perfect score, following a nice little weight gain ( which was needed).
Nell is a new rescue dog, and walked straight into the practice with no hesitation on her second visit. Thanks for the visit Nell 🐶

It has been lovely to have the practice full with appointments today. Our next opening day for vet appointments at Alexander Vets Ulverston will be Friday 31st March.

We will be open on Tuesday 14th March as usual for collection of medications, flea and worming treatments. Thank you for your continued support 🐶🐱🐰

Our Story

South Lakes Veterinary Centre is a small animal veterinary practice based in the South Lakes region of Cumbria. We are situated in the market town of Ulverston. We provide a shared on call service with 3 other local practices, so there is always help at hand in case of an emergency.
