So, the Husband came back from his shopping trip to Aldi last night and presented me with these beautiful flowers. "These are for you, for Mother's Day tomorrow, with love from the Horrible Hounds".

Er, tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Mother's Day is four weeks away!

The Husband "I wondered why all the flowers Aldi had in were red, I struggled to find a nice peach bouquet"!!!

We battle on! I've been baking Chocolate Cake this morning and we have our usual full menu of home made soup, sandwiches, Full English breakfasts and breakfast buns, fish fingers baps, etc. Do come and see us -; open from 11.30am.

Good morning! February at last and we're officially inching our way towards Spring! The mornings are definitely getting lighter making it easier to get up early to start the baking.

We have Victoria Sandwich Cake and Chocolate Cake today together with our full menu - soup, sandwiches, all day Full English breakfasts, fish fingers baps, scampi, omelettes and much more!

We'll be lighting the coal 🔥 in the Music Room and we look forward to seeing you from 11.30am onwards!

Good Morning and what a beautiful day! perfect for a walk along our quiet beach and then enjoy a bacon butties, comforting bowl of home made soup or a slice of homemade Apple and Cinnamon Cake (our usual full menu available too). We're inching our way there - only six more sleeps to the Big Day! Don't lose sleep worrying about the Christmas Day meal - we've got it covered for the ninth year in a row! "Christmas Day to Takeaway" with three courses (Prawn Cocktail or Pea and Ham Soup, Roast Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings and Indulgent Chocolate Mousse or Apple and Cinnamon Cake served with whipped cream) all for £45 per person. Good Morning! The Big Day is getting closer (I do like stating the obvious!).

If you are worrying about the Christmas Day lunch then worry no longer - we have a few slots available for our very popular "Christmas Day to Takeaway" - three homemade courses for you to collect, by prior booking, on Christmas Day from 11.30am until 3.00pm.

Your choice of starters will be traditional Prawn Cocktail served with brown bread and butter or Pea and Ham Soup with a crusty roll; main course of Roast Turkey or Beef with roasties, Yorkshire Puddings, Mashed Potatoes, Green Veg, Chantenay Carrots, Pigs in Blankets, Sage and Onion stuffing and groovy gravy. Dessert will be Indulgent Chocolate Mousse served with a dollop of cream and a shortbread biscuit or Apple and Cinnamon Cake served with whipped cream.

£45 per person.

It's certainly feeling a lot like Christmas now! We served the first of our Christmas Lunches today - Prawn Cocktail or Pea and Ham Soup, Roast Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings and Indulgent Chocolate Mousse or Apple and Cinnamon Cake served with whipped cream. I managed to take some photos of the starters and desserts but totally forgot to take a piccie of the main courses!

Available by prior booking Tuesday to Sunday. £25 per person.

Hi Everyone and do hope you are well and looking forward to Christmas!

We will be offering a full traditional Christmas lunch throughout November and December by pre-booking only.

Starters will be Prawn Cocktail served with brown bread and butter or Pea and Ham Soup served with a crusty roll.

Main Course will be Roast Turkey or Roast Beef with homemade roast potatoes, Yorkshire Puddings, mashed potatoes, green veg, chantenay carrots, pigs in blankets and groovy gravy.

Pudding will be a choice of Indulgent Chocolate Mousse served with a dollop of cream and a shortbread biscuit or homemade Apple and Cinnamon Cake served with whipped cream.

Tea/Coffee/Soft Drink included.

£25 per person.

(We are happy for you to bring your own alcohol).

Seating in the Music Room or a private party (up to 8 people) in the Morning Room. A lovely traditional coal fire will welcome you too!

At last! It's stopped raining and if the weather forecast is to be believed, we are in for a week of lovely dry weather. Despite the heavy rain yesterday, we were busy and served A LOT of 🍰so I've been up early this morning baking more. Victoria Sandwich and Chocolate Cake today. We are open from 11.30am with our usual full menu including All Day Breakfasts. Seating in the house and garden and the Stable Cafe for our 🐕 friends and their parents!

Good Morning! Yet again, goodness only knows what this weather is going to do today but I'm sure that tea and 🍰will make it feel a bit better! Good Morning, well the weather may be a bit dubious today but we're still chugging on! I've been up early and made Fruit Scones to be served with butter, jam and cream and also Orange Cake. Our usual full menu including all day breakfasts too. Seating in the Music Room in the house and for our four legged friends dedicated seating in the Stable Cafe or under the gazebo in the garden.
