It is with great sadness that following my illness last Christmas (Dec 23) I have now been officially informed by my Cardiologist that I am no longer able to undertake strenuous physical activity. This is the end of an era for me and Simply Pawfect. May I take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful clients and friends for your support and custom. I will dearly miss you all and your fabulous pooches. My business will be officially closed on the 30th September xx

So….after 16 long weeks of waiting for the results of my Cardiac MRI I now have them. Initially I was told they weren’t completely conclusive but did show some evidence of an historic Heart Attack 😳 After picking myself up off the floor I queried it as I’ve had no symptoms or pain. Then a panel of experts (MDT Team) met to discuss my MRI and have concluded it’s not a Heart Attack but more likely to be associated with my Congenital Heart Defect (Fallots Tetralogy) I was born with. I have now been referred to the Adult Congenital Team at Liverpool for further tests and investigations to see how we progress. A number of you have been asking when I’m reopening, currently I can’t answer that question until I have been to Liverpool. I still have my unit at the Auction Mart has n the hopes I can return sometime soon. Rest assured as soon as I know I will update on here xx

Latest Health Update…..I went to Blackpool Hospital recently for a Cardiac MRI to ascertain if my Heart function has improved since December, it was only functioning at 35%. I have been advised by my Cardiologist to wait for the results of this MRI before contemplating returning to work. If the Heart function hasn’t improved I will have to have an internal defibrillator fitted. I’m now also awaiting surgery on both shoulders for tendinitis, I feel like I’m dropping to bits 😩 I will post further updates as soon as I know anything xx

Following my Dr’s appointment this morning I’m sorry to say he has advised another 4 weeks of recovery to allow my feet and body to heal. I have also been left with a damaged carpal tunnel in my left wrist which is making it very difficult to use my hand. I have another heart failure appointment on Thursday to see about my new meds. I’m going stir crazy and am desperate to get back to work! I will keep updating on here xx

Further update on my health… I tried to phase back into work on Monday but unfortunately was immediately told off by both my Dr and Heart Nurse. My feet are still infected and are painful to walk on and stand on for any length of time. I have been advised to take a further 2 weeks off to allow the infection to clear and for my feet to Heal. I will post further updates in 2 weeks xx

I will be phasing back to work next week on a very reduced basis. I will be prioritising December grooming clients first. I’ve finally escaped incarceration from FGH a long way from my former self I’m afraid to say and I will take some time to get back to the Judith you all knew. That’s the doom and gloom bit out of the way. A long story short I was admitted with life threatening Sepsis on the 15th December, this was caused by a virus that not only attacked the lymph nodes in my neck but also masqueraded as a mass under my clavicle. The virus also attacked the fluid around my Heart and Lungs leaving me in respiratory distress. I’ve had plenty of strong medication and many many wonderful messages of support and love from you all that cheered my darkest of days so thank you all from the bottom of my ❤️ This virus 🦠 has left me a Type 2 diabetic which is insulin controlled but also with excess fluid in my legs and feet, this will go in time, So I’m taking a little time to adjust to my new lifestyle and will be phasing back into work. I’m looking to start grooming again from Monday 22nd January on a reduced hours basis with a view to building back to normal. I will be in touch to start appointments as soon as I’ve got my hands on my diary. Thank again my wonderful clients/friends for your much cherished support xx

Please bear with me over the coming weeks, I’ve had a rather difficult change in my personal health to come to terms with . I have a number of hospital appointments coming up whilst we get on top of the issue. I’m going to be closed again tomorrow (Thursday 14th December) to allow for recuperation and hopefully be back in on Friday 15th. My apologies for the disruption but I’m hoping it’s only short term
