Today marks , a reminder of how important it is to protect our oceans for future generations.
Did you know that all of our tubs are made from 100% recycled Prevented Ocean Plastic?
Here's how it works:
♻️ Discarded plastic bottles are collected from coastal areas at high risk of ocean plastic pollution.
♻️ The bottles are sorted, compressed and transported to recycling facilities.
♻️ There, the plastic is washed, sanitised and processed into raw material flakes, ready to be transformed into our raw food tubs.
We know that producing pet food has an environmental impact, which is why we're committed to reducing our footprint wherever possible.
The plastic used in our packaging was destined to end up in the ocean before being collected by the incredible team at Prevented Ocean Plastic and given a second life as Benyfit Natural packaging.
As the world's largest programme of its kind, Prevented Ocean Plastic collects plastic from coastal communities most at risk of ocean pollution, preventing over 1,000 tonnes of plastic from entering the ocean every month while supporting thousands of local jobs worldwide.
🌎 Through our partnership, Benyfit Natural helps prevent the equivalent of 562,176 plastic bottles from entering the ocean every year.
