Meet Pierre the very handsome 'Frenchie'.
Pierre first came to see me 15 months ago for a claw clip. He was very anxious and didn't like it one bit.
However since that first appointment Pierre has been coming to see every 4-6 weeks for his claw clip and over that time he has come on leaps & bounds through patience & desensitising that he now completely aces it...Claw clip and grinding on all 4 paws done in less than 5 minutes.

Well done Pierre, I am super proud of you.

Pablo...Such a beautiful boy inside & out ♥

This young man a 'SpringerPoo' came in for a complete make- over this week here at Paws Fur Effect and oh boy, he so rocks his new look of a shorter clip but sporting a 'goatie' beard. As always it is such a lovely couple of hours spent with Pablo and he looked adorable in his festive bandana on Santa's Chair by our beautiful Christmas tree 🎄

Meet Bella a young 'Cockapoo' & her first groom with me today.
Bella is quite new to the grooming process so I always book out a longer appointment for youngsters. She is a floofy ball of energy who just wanted to play and have cuddles, so it was a case of 'slowly slowly' with her, lots of reassurance & 🦆 treats.
Her humans are superstars and work on brushing & bathing at home which definitely showed as I didn't find one single matt on her 👏 ♥.

Bella is an active girl who loves her walkies & into everything 😂 so I gave her a manageable clip and trim. She looked and smelt amazing in her Christmas Bandana for her 'after photos' by the Christmas Tree.

I have advised her humans that it would be beneficial for Bella to have 6 weekly appointments so that I can work slowly on desensitisation and positivity with her especially as Cockapoos need very regular grooming.

Very well done Bella & Merry Woofmas.
Looking forward to seeing you in January.

Eye trim, bath & body tidy up were Skye the 'Schnauzer/ Terrier X' human's request on Monday & it always amazes me how just a little trim up & bath can make such a BIG difference.
Skye was a sweetie throughout her pamper and looked very festive in her complimentary gingerbread bandana .

A Moment From the Pack Leader – Why I Love What I Do 🐶🐾♥️

Let me take a second to speak from the heart…
Because today reminded me why I love being a dog groomer so much.

Yes — grooming is hard.
It’s long hours, sore backs, tired hands, and a level of strength most people will never truly understand.
But the part that keeps me going?
It’s not just the haircuts…
It’s the memories.
It’s the stories.
It’s watching our Pack families grow right in front of me.

I’ve seen life happen… through the eyes of the families who trust me with their pets.

Every groom carries a moment.
Every pup carries a chapter.
Every family carries a story I’m blessed to be part of.

So yes — grooming takes strength, patience, and a whole lot of endurance…
But through all the pain and all the hard work, the memories honestly make it feel so small.
Because this isn’t just grooming.
This is community.
This is family.
This is love in every season.

Thank you for letting me grow with you — and for letting your pups grow with me.
That is the real reward. 🐾💛

🎅 Our fabulous 'Santa Paws Event' is now just a few days away & we are all getting ready here at Awash with Dogs for the most wonderful day with all our floofy friends & their humans 🎅

As well as the most stunning photos with Santa, the best Hot Chocolate in Sussex and DIY available, myself & Tracey ( iggy Pup's grooming ) will be offering 'Mini Grooming Services' throughout the day and be taking last minute grooming appointment bookings for December.

This absolutely darling is a senior boy of nearly 16 yrs young and his name is Monty.
He came in today for a 'Comfort Groom' & he was a total superstar 🌟 ♥
Monty needed to go short all over as he had quite a lot of mats & tats and his human just wanted to make him comfortable & happy, which he certainly was as well as looking super cute.
Monty went home with a festive bandana, a Christmas Goodies Bag and a happy waggy tail.

Well done Monty & Happy Christmas
