I’m absolutely dreadful at keeping this page moving along properly but to answer some questions:

Yes, retrievers of all types
Yes, I’m a 1:1 groomer
Yes, I’m a dog-led groomer using minimal restraints.
NO. I WILL NOT CLIP YOUR RETRIEVER. DEFINITELY NO.

Here’s a stunner I groomed today ready for her first proper show on Sunday. (Coincidentally a half sister of one of my own Goldies.)

Narla - Golden Retriever (Show Line)

What a wonderful, goody good girl Narla is! As well behaved as she is beautiful, Miss Narla was a superstar on the table while I trimmed her paw pads, the tiny amount of grinch on her feet and her feathers. She was a superstar when I thinned out the fur behind and under her ears to make them sit nicely. She was a superstar when I cleaned out her ears and went on to tidy her mane. She was a superstar when I tidied and shaped her underline, she was a superstar as I trimmed her overlong tail and made it look even fuller than thicker. She was even a superstar as I trimmed and tidied her trousers to make them more balanced and symmetrical.
In short, this girlie was a dream on the table and that didn’t change in the bath, though she did take a bit of convincing to get in. 😜
A lovely scrub and soak with “Undercoat De-Shed” Shampoo and conditioner and then it was back to the groom room where Narla had a spray of detangling spray and then put up with the dryer for a while before deciding enough is enough.
A spritz of “Snoop” Pawfume and Narla was done so she popped outside to watch for her humans coming back.
It was fantastic having you visit, Narla!
