Etching Woof is a family run secure dog walking area. I personally check the fencing every morning before the first walkers, we remove any litter, balls, missed poo, put the chairs back by the tables and check there is water. I am usually on site to help with enquiries or mix ups. We can only open during daylight hours as that is what our planning permission allows, we also close in wet weather so that Etching Woof doesn't become a quagmire and a rubbish place to walk. I won't ever be rich but I do hope that our personal approach comes across to our users and their dogs. Thank you to those who continue to use our space with consideration.

A beautiful start to the day in Etching Woof, the Autumn leaves turning golden in the sun, and falling to the leaf strewn floor.
Did you know that Etching Woof is a family business, with only one field/area to look after? Because it is our own land we care for the ecosystem, that’s why leaves stay where they fall, even though it makes the Atumnal poo search that little bit harder🙃.
We check the fence and look for any ‘lost’ poo every morning before our first walker.
We hope you enjoy Etching Woof as much as we enjoy lending it to you and your dog. A walk is much more fun off lead-especially in amongst trees.

Do you have a dog with dementia?
Our darling boy Skipper is 18 years old. He still has his dinner alerts, about 5pm he will start getting under our feet to remind us about his dinner. The rest of the time he mostly sleeps, but he really enjoys his walk. Being in a secure area means dogs like Skipper can’t wander off, well they can -but they won’t wander on to a road or carry on running when they panic about being lost.
It also means that if you have other dogs then they can still enjoy a good run around.

Anyone recognise this little dog? He was found on Vernon Road a couple of days ago, his microchip isn’t up to date. He was also out earlier in the week, his owner was out on the street looking for him, and said he was a rescue from Brazil but no one has seen him this time. Ring any bells?
