And once again the heat is just too much for dogs. 🥵🥵
The current norm is for us to be open until midday on days when the thermometer reads over 25°C

And so the heat hits up yet again. 🥵🥵🫣
As usual when it hits 26°C or over we prefer not to encourage people out with their dogs so we’ll be closed from midday today when the worst of the heat hits.
Tuesday looks even more hot so if you’ve an appointment for DIY that day please check your email as we’ve already sent out some options for alternate bookings to keep your dogs safe in the high temps.
Wednesday looks to be much more reasonable temperatures so we’ll be back to normal opening hours.

Ahhhh. English summers! 🥰🥰☀️☀️⛈️⚡️🌩️
To answer the questions, yes we are still open despite the weather. But boots may be advisable as the distance between our doors and our carpark spaces is more of a paddle than a walk. 😬🫣

‼️IMPORTANT NOTICE RE. ENTRANCE REPAIRS‼️

Well hello, lovely People.
I hope you and your floofy family members are keeping safe and well in this aggressive and oppressive heat!
We have been given an update regarding the works at the Crockstead entrance, please see below.
TLDR: We’re still open. But please use the alternate access via the new substation.

🚨🚨
Highways/ Balfour Beatty have contacted today to let us know the groundworks to sort the main drive entranceway are more extensive than their initial assessment.

They've closed off the entrance, and it will remain closed until the works are completed.

All traffic into and out of the site will have to follow this route from the Eastbourne Rd (Uckfield way) while the works are going on.

Once out of their site, people should drive across the top car park and turn left to get to the main drive just beuond the entranceway cottages.

Reminder for everyone:
With this extreme heat we’re all experiencing at the moment, we are trying to encourage healthy and safe heat avoidance practices for our beloved floofy customers by opening early at 8am and closing early at 12 midday before the most punishing heat strikes.

Hello everyone!
Lots of important announcements to share this week:
1) Today and tomorrow (Weds 9th and Thurs July) the gravel courtyard is undergoing some maintenance so please park instead in the main carpark (fork left just before our building)
2) From Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July the main entrance will be undergoing repairs between 4pm to 11pm so if you’re coming or going during those times please use the alternative entranceway via the NGET substation shown in the image below.
3) This one is so important that I’ll also do a separate post about it. EXTREME HEAT warnings. We will be open 8am until midday Thursday-Monday in order to help our customers remain safe and well in the upcoming heatwave.
4) A reminder that we are holding our firework sanctuary on Saturday evening for those in the Uckfield area whose dogs need to escape from the flashes and bangs at the end of proms on the pitch.
