✨ Felipe ✨

This handsome 5 year old Alaskan Malamute is still in need of a home. His foster brother Rox was very recently adopted. Felipe is well cared for where he is now, however long term care of this boy is not possible due to circumstances beyond any control. It is through no fault of Felipe’s that we need to find him a new family.

Felipe is a huge ball of fluff, full of love and life. His favourite thing to do is relax by your side.

Felipe does need some help with walking on a leash, as you can imagine he is super strong and does get easily excited and over stimulated when out and about.

Felipe could also use some help socialising with other dogs. He has previously lived with other dogs, but prefers to be the only dog or with one other with careful introductions.

He loves everyone he meets, is great with children and can live with cats.

✨ Week one in his new home, and Rox is thriving ✨

What a first week it’s been! Rox has met some friends and families dogs, and been the sweetest, most sociable boy, as always everyone falls in love with him at first sight ❤️

He had a full groom at Gedney Road Groomers , I mean look how beautifully clean and fluffy he is, and smells amazing too!

He’s met some horses, been out on daily morning and late night walks.

They’re practicing alone time, and kitting him out his own shed for when he wants to be outside.

He has a growing toy collection, and settling in very well, greeting his new family with ears back and tummy time.

We all know it takes a while for a dog to acclimate to a new home and family, and I’m very proud of how well this boy is doing.

I heard today he’s been sneaking on the sofa when left in the lounge alone, and honestly that makes me so happy! A cheeky dog is a relaxed and trusting dog ❤️

✨ Roo and Felipe ✨

These wonderful boys are still looking for a home.
They are very much connected and enjoy each others company, however we are at a point where we may consider rehoming them separately.
For background, both boys have had a rough start in life, with non standard living conditions in their formative years. Despite this, they love humans and have great temperaments.
We are working on Felipe’s ability to socialise with other dogs, Roo will befriend any dog he meets with enthusiasm and a will to play.
Both dogs have been cat tested, Roo will chase if the cat runs, Felipe is completely unbothered. Both could be rehomed with a dog savvy cat.

If you have the space and the patience for a big friendly pooch or two, please reach out!

🌟These wonderful boys are still looking for a place to call home 🏡
Rox and Filipe are beautifully tempered, sweet and loving. If you’ve got a decent sized, secure garden and some extra love to give, please reach out.

In an ideal world we would very much like to keep these two together, but we also understand that might not be possible. If you would like to meet just one, or both of these boys, send us a message x

Hey, my names Alice.
I live in a small rural village, and work from home.
For the past six years I’ve fostered and helped rehome a number of dogs, and a couple of them snuck their way into my home and never left!
With large rescues being overrun with surrendered dogs, and seeing more and more in dire need, being given away and sold into potential unsafe conditions and situations, this year I’ve committed to doing more and helping more dogs in need.
I currently have one dog in foster placement with me, two in temporary foster with another family and three rehomed to their forever families.
I foster, home check, arrange meets, vet checks, long term foster and adoption paperwork, and grooms for these dogs to give them the best opportunity to be rehomed to the right family.

One thing I’m currently unable to do is ensure these dogs are neutered before they’re rehomed, it’s expensive and although we include never to breed from one of our rescues in contracts, neutering is the best way to safeguard our dogs.
For dogs I am unable to personally foster or arrange foster placement for I would like to offer more support in terms of vet appointment funds, collars that fit, suitable leads, food and comfy beds.
I do what I can, but any support would be greatly appreciated, please follow our social media for dogs looking for foster placement, and updates on those rehomed on Facebook
Thank you

From Rox and Filipe’s current home:

❤️ Roxas/Rox/Roo, the German Shepherd and Akita mix, is a big ball of energy with a heart just as large. He’s bouncy, playful, and always ready for an adventure, yet underneath all that excitement lies a gentle soul who’s full of love especially when it comes to kids, with who he’s incredibly affectionate and protective.
In contrast, Filipe, the Alaskan Malamute is the calm to Rox’s storm. Slow moving and laid back, Filipe prefers a peaceful pace and is happiest when surrounded by family, who he adores. However, unlike Roxus, Filipe isn’t too keen on other dogs and prefers to keep to his own space when they’re around. Together, they make a perfect balance of energy and calm, each with their own special way of spreading love ❤️

__________

Through no fault of their own, these two lads are looking for long term foster/ forever homes.
As they are bonded, we will prioritise applications that keep them together.

It goes without saying as large arctic breeds they need lots of exercise, lots of good quality food and will cover your sofa in hair. Regular grooming is essential with these breeds, they are okay with being brushed at home and do well at the groomers.

As an arctic breed owner myself, I can attest that the miles walked, food bills and shedding is worth every penny, muddy pair of shoes and lint rollers for the love, affection, loyalty and personality you get back from these beautiful dogs.
