🤗 Well here’s some HUGE news for Finnboo!!!! 🤗 .... I’m feeling very humbled and very excited to be called up to be part of the Scottish/Welsh team going over to compete Internationally in the International Performance Connemara Hunter Pony at the Royal Dublin Horse Show and then across to Galway to the biggest Connemara Show in the world - Cliften Show ❣️❣️❣️

Thankyou so much to Kate Walters (BCPS) and Debbie Nickson (chef d’eqippe) for having faith in myself and Finnboo 🤗

It’s soooo true ... as one door closes another one opens ... due to circumstances I can’t really afford to BE this year so I’ll be Working Hunter ponying instead, wherever I can 🙂 Hope to see some of you out and about - we’re entered in the Royal Highland Show and will be here there and everywhere - needing to lose the down and dirty eventer image (temporarily) and become a bit smarter WHP 😂😂😂

🤗❣️

Hello Horsing Arounders. I'm so sorry that I've not been around for such a long time (in hindsight, I should've really just closed the page for a while 🙄) but my Mum very suddenly and unexpectedly passed away towards the end of last year 😭 To say that it's been a very stressful few months would be an understatement and unfortunately, it meant that my health has suffered somewhat and my neuro-thing (no 'official' name for it but it's triggered by stress) kicked off big time. I'm slowly but surely on the mend now though ... and I'm hoping to be back again very soon with some ready-to-go fillers including a new design 😊

A very important part of all this is that, although Mum wasn't registered as an organ donor, thankfully she and Dad had been discussing signing up just a few weeks before she passed away and we agreed to all of her organs that were suitable to be donated. Thankfully, her Kidneys were successfully transplanted to 2 men and her Liver was retained for research purposes. We are in absolute AWE of the organ donation team who treated us all with the utmost respect, comforting and supporting us, keeping us informed every step of the way.

I recently attended a volunteers meeting for the Grampian branch of Organ Donation Scotland and was shocked at how very few transplants were able to be carried out in 2018 over the whole of the UK. If you do anything today, PLEASE consider registering to be an Organ Donor if you haven't done so already and very importantly, ensure that your loved ones are aware of your wishes (below is a handy screensaver for your phone or tablet).
