As temperatures rise this June, itโs important to help keep your pets safe and comfortable in the heat.
โ๏ธPets can overheat much faster than people, especially during walks, car journeys, and outdoor play.
๐ฆ๐ญHere are a few simple ways to protect them this summer:
๐ง Fresh water always available

Walkies early morning or later evening
๐ฅ Pavements too hot for bare feet = too hot for paws
๐ฆ Frozen treats and cooling mats make great summer enrichment
๐ณ ๐น๐ฐShade is your petโs best friend especially for rabbits and guinea pigs
๐ซ Never leave pets in cars โ not even โjust for 5 minutesโ
Some pets are more at risk ๐จ
๐พ Flat-faced breeds (pugs,bulldogs,Persian cats)
๐พ Older pets
๐พ Overweight animals,
๐พ Pets with existing health conditions.
Keep an eye out for signs of heatstroke:

โ ๏ธ Weakness or wobbliness
โ ๏ธ Vomiting
โ ๏ธ Collapse
