🌳 Three little trees, one big plan! 🐾🌿

We’ve been nursing these three new trees along, patiently waiting for the right time to get them planted in the Kilter’s Hounds dog field. 🌱

With the weather finally turning a little cooler and some much-needed rain on the horizon, we think the time has come to get them out of their pots and into the ground! 🌦️🌳

Now we just need to decide where they’ll be happiest — and where they’ll cause the least trouble with all those zoomies! 🐕💨😂

We’re going to have a wander around the field and work out the best locations for them. Hopefully, in years to come, they’ll provide some lovely shade and make the field even better for our four-legged visitors.

There are roadworks on the road that leads to the field this afternoon - you can however still gain entry to the field.

The workers at the top of the road will let you through if you advise you have a booking.

We apologise that we couldn’t give you notice but we were unaware of the work.

🐾 Last call for zoomies!

It's been a busy day in the field.

One 30-minute dog-field session is free at 7 p.m. tonight. Grab it before someone else’s pup does.

Making the most of the slightly cooler mornings and gave the grass a trim, it’s looking good if I say so myself.

There are some spaces throughout the day and our longer opening times means there are spaces for the cooler times of the day if you need them.

🐾 TEAM KILTERS – PICK ONE MORE 🐾

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in our Team Kilters Pay It Forward Challenge over the past four weeks.

When we launched this challenge, it was never about becoming the “poo police.” Instead, we wanted to encourage something much more important – a community where we all look after the paddock together.

The idea was simple: pick up after your own dog, and if you spotted an extra poo, pick one more. Every little act of kindness helps keep our paddock a cleaner, safer and more enjoyable place for everyone.

💚 Thanks to your efforts, an incredible 70 extra poos were picked up and reported during the challenge. That’s 70 forgotten poos that otherwise may have been left behind, and that’s something Team Kilters should be really proud of!

A massive congratulations to Cass DogWalker, who collected an incredible 41 extra poos during the challenge!

Cass has gone above and beyond in helping us look after the paddock. We felt that a FREE 1-hour Kilters Hounds session alone didn’t quite reflect the effort and support shown, so we’d also like to include a small selection of our Kilters Farm pork produce⁠ as an extra thank you.

👏 Congratulations to both of our winners! We’ll be in touch directly to arrange collection or delivery of your prizes.

Finally, we’d love this challenge to be more than just a competition. We hope it’s helped build the kind of community we’re proud to be part of—one where we all play our part, look out for one another, and leave the paddock just a little better than we found it.

Together We Keep The Paddock Clean.

At Kilters Hounds, we’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built. Every day, responsible dog owners bring their hounds to enjoy our 3-acre secure paddock, helping to make it a safe, enjoyable and welcoming space for everyone.

Like any dog space, occasionally a missed poo happens. Across 3 acres, no one expects perfection. We’re certainly not looking to become the “poo police”!

Instead, we’d love to strengthen the community spirit that makes Kilters Hounds special.

💚 That’s why we’re launching the Team Kilters Pay It Forward Challenge.

The idea is simple:

🐾 Pick up after your own dog as normal.

🐾 If you spot any additional dog mess during your visit, please help by picking it up too.

🐾 We provide free dog waste bags at the paddock to make it easy.

🐾 After your visit, comment on this post with the number of extra poos you collected.

Every comment will earn you an entry into our prize draw, and every extra poo collected will contribute towards our Team Kilters community total.

🏆 PRIZES

🎁 One lucky Team Kilters member will be chosen at random to win a Dog Hamper packed with treats, goodies and useful items for both hounds and humans.

🏅 The biggest contributor during the challenge will receive a FREE 1-hour Kilters Hounds session.

Our goal isn’t to catch people out. It’s to encourage a culture where we all look after the field together.

Imagine if every visitor picked up just one extra poo during their visit. The difference across a month would be huge.

🌿 DOG FIELD UPDATE – EXTENDED EVENING WALKS THIS WEEK 🌿🐾

A quick update for everyone using the dog field…

I’d originally blocked out Tuesday evening to cut the grass, but with the warmer weather arriving I’ve decided to reschedule mowing until later in the week.

That means the field will stay open for extra evening walking slots, giving dogs the chance to enjoy the cooler part of the day rather than being out in the heat ☀️🐕

It also gives the grass a bit more resilience and recovery time before cutting.
