Our Story

  • From a very early age I was always totally obsessed with animals of every kind. Large small, furry , feathered, whatever the variety, I loved them all. Once I discovered ponies and horses at the age of around 7, that was even more exciting to me, endless drawing possibilities, horses running, flying, being mine and generally appearing in anything I drew. And I drew ALL the time.

  • Fast forward a few years and I was honing and perfecting my artistic style, discovering new techniques but always wanting to draw animals as my main inspiration. My portraiture became serious in my late teens, when I attended my first serious art classes and realised there was plenty to learn ! All of this generally segued into the styles and skills I use today. After following commercial artwork as a profession, the portraits were still a big part of my life so I switched things around and concentrated on that.

  • As a professional portrait artist, I use many mediums mainly Pastel and Oils, but more recently I am frequently asked to make smaller works in Professional quality Pencil Crayon or Graphite (Pencil) The smaller pieces can also be super delicate and sensitive even though they lack the size of a larger piece and they are lovely to make.

  • This really is my absolute joy ! I adore all the animals be they large or small, still here or passed on, they are beautiful and I hope I can make a lasting image that reflects their beauty and the love their owners have for them.
