We are sorry we have been so quiet.
Things in the line of rescue really isn't easy at the moment for anyone. We can really sympathise and empathise with other rescues and organisations.
You're not alone in this.
We have been overwhelmed with seagulls, the worst year by far. We have had just over 40 in the span of 2 months, thankfully just in need of rehydration and recuperation or time to heal from a minor injury.
We've had over 70 pigeons in who too have fallen victim to dehydration due to the hotter weather or injuries.
And we still have yet to expect the hedgehog baby boom. Better known as the second late litter which will not survive the winter without help and intervention if they can't build up body mass quick enough.
It. Is. Horrific.
We've had to help multiple people from all over find rescues closer to home because we aren't local to them but are still willing to provide around the clock advice and care to put people at ease.
As soon as we release animals, mainly birds, their space is filled instantly by another little life who deserves a chance.
It's tedious. It's hard. And my god we kick ourselves when we can't save them all. But we do it to give everything a chance regardless.
If you've not heard from us, we are sorry.
If you're still waiting for a reply, we are sorry.
If you're still waiting on your hedgehog to come back home, we are sorry.
It's only myself and mum. We are burnt-out but trying our hardest to maintain everything. If we didn't laugh, we'd cry.
In the end of the day, we do what we do for the animals. Not for any glorification or praise.
We are here, we are not ignoring you. We are only a team of two and we are genuinely sorry π
If you can't get through, please leave a message and we will get back to you, it may not be straight away but we will.
