We hope all of our lovely clients are enjoying the weather, whilst keeping our fur-babies cool and hydrated 😎
Tomorrow is to reach 25 degrees here in macmerry, we understand that we all want to include our four legged friends in the summer activities however if you can we recommend that they miss this weekend out and stay in doors!
Keep your house well ventilated and ensure there is access to fresh water at all times.
You can help keep them cool with paddling pools, fans and cool mats - ask at reception regarding our chill out range🥶
‼️ Please take extra caution with our oldies, puppies and brachycephalic breeds who will find it more difficult to control their temperature‼️
Remember to:
🚗 Avoid taking your dogs out in the car and never leave your dog locked in your car
🐕 Only walk your dog in the early morning or evenings once the temperatures have cooled
🐱Bring our roaming outdoor cats in for a while so we know they are safe out the heat
☀️ Don’t let them sunbathe/play out in the sun for too long! As much as we know they love it, heat stroke can be fatal if not spotted quickly!
🐰Don’t forget about our bunnies! Make sure their hutch is in a shaded area of the garden, offer cool areas for them to lie on such as ceramic tiles or wet blankets (checking regularly that these are still cool) 💦 Ensure a constant supply of cold fresh water, you can add ice cubes to this throughout the day!
📞If you suspect your pet to be struggling with the heat this weekend please don’t hesitate to call us and head straight along 📞
✨If any of our clients are currently booked in for an appointment tomorrow and would like to cancel please drop us an email: [email protected] or call us tomorrow on 01875 824 400, phone lines open at 9am❤️✨
