It’s been a just over a year since Izzy joined the team to help out around the yard. We are incredibly proud of how far she’s come and how much her confidence has grown. Izzy is now confident with taking horses racing and is learning about how to ride racehorses up the gallops. Well done Izzy for all your hard work, determination, and love for all the horses. We ran Jack The Savage at Worcester yesterday who finished a good 5th. It was an unfortunate set of circumstances on the day, with the race being delayed due to an incident involving a jockey that regrettably required medical attention. While the safety and well-being of everyone on course rightly comes first (we understand the jockey concerned is OK), the delay may not have suited Jack who is known to be a monkey in the paddock especially at Worcester and looked to have run his race in the preliminaries. By the time they finally lined up (after the air ambulance had taken off) he perhaps was a bit too eager to get on with it . It’s one of those things in racing that can’t be helped, and there’s every chance he’ll bounce back next time under more straightforward conditions. Luckily everyone is safe that the main thing.
