Good Morning Everyone!
Due to the pressures of work and family life and as we are no longer breeding pygmy goats this will be our last post.

We have decided to close down both our Facebook and Instagram pages as we can no longer give them the attention needed.

Our beautiful boys and girls will remain with us into their dotage as part of our family along with our 3 dogs and cat.

We would like to thank you for all your support since we took over from Karl and Rowan in 2025.

So for our last post we bring back the terrors who destroyed our windbreak but had great fun doing it!

Goats do not like change and today we have been reorganising their housing! Will they go in the new shed... NO! looked at it and their newly connected water bowl with utter disdain. One put their head in the shed, 2 refused to look at it . Hurdles moved as well... No we don't like and we are going out into the paddock where there is absolutely no grass instead. We will attack the bales Dan has put down while sorting the new feed shed and we are going to ignore you both!!!

It's new, its different and we don't like it!!

We have been really busy here, combating bad reactions to the annual vaccine. Having to seperate goats because of bullying and hence splitting the herd into 2 Merry bands, keeping them in different paddocks.
Then a heatwave struck just as we were settling down to some form of normality . Very hot goats, putting up sails for shade, all hot and bothered including us!
Then the hay was ready for baling and carting. Can they really eat all that! Yes they can! Fingers crossed we can settle down for a bit of normality 🤣

3 teenage miscreants in the naughty paddock for bullying. To look at them butter wouldn't melt!

So so hot for our Merry band, struggling to find shade. Poor Marj hasn't shed all her winter coat yet, last year it was August before she was short coated and brushing doesn't do anything.

Our lovely Daisy was found yesterday concussed and suffering from a head wound. Looking like a head butting with one of the others she was bleeding badly. The vet came and checked for fractures and cleaned up all the blood. Seperated from the herd but still in full view now for 48 hours in another shed behind hurdles, her pal Molly tried to break her out by chewing through the bale twine holding the double hurdles together. Molly is now in with her for the next 24 hours. All is calm and hopefully Daisy is on the mend.
