There is still time to enter the New Forest Dog Owners Group 2026 Photo Competition and get a chance of winning a £100 voucher to spend in-store.

This year's theme celebrates 25 years of NFDOG and challenges you to photograph your dog with 25 of something: treats, toys, sticks, pinecones, leaves or anything else you can think of!

☀️🐾 Summer temperatures are back! 🐾☀️

As the weather warms up, so does the risk of our pets becoming dehydrated or overheating. Unlike us, dogs and cats have fewer ways to cool themselves, so it's extra important to help them stay comfortable on hotter days.

💚 Some simple ways to support your pet include

• Providing plenty of fresh water, including a water fountain for cats
• Adding water, broth or goat's milk to their meals
• Using cooling mats that have been previously cooled in the fridge or freezer
• Offering a paddling pool or safe water play

Remember, heatstroke can develop quickly and is always an emergency.

Our Customer Advisor, Rachael and her son spent some quality after-school time together making homemade frozen treats for their dogs. 🍓🐾

Simple family activities like this are a wonderful way to bond with children while also creating enriching, cooling treats for warmer days.

What you might need:

- JW Hol-ee Roller
- Wet or raw food of your choosing
- Treats like sprats, rabbit ears and pizzles for flavour and texture

How to:
Fill the toy with your chosen food, stick treats in some of the holes, freeze for a few hours and let the dogs enjoy!

We hope the doggies enjoyed their tasty treats as much as we enjoyed seeing them being made! 🐶🐕♥️
