Last Sunday, Miss Varkie and Mr Varkie went out to the Indoor Carriage Driving Qualifiers at Duchy College. They both had a good day, and are already looking forward to the next one. In the end, they came away with a final score of 86.8%, which is over 75% - one of the requirements you need to qualify for the national championships.

Fordhouse Cosmo - Last week we welcomed Cosmo to the stud. He is a 2 year old bay dun roan c**t, by South Sands Tuscan Sun, out of Plumtree Honeydew. So far he has proven to be a real sweetheart - very chilled and well behaved. ❤️

Kalipso Sunset Bliss attended just her second show today, a fun show run by the South West Shetland Group. It was a well supported show, lots of fun and friendly people. This was only Bliss second show, and she is just 2 years old, so the aim for her was education and having fun. Even so, she came away with a third in Agility, 5th in Pony The Judge Would Like To Take Home, and 6th in Prettiest Mare. We were very pleased with how she handled the whole experience. ❤️

An example of how sound our homebred ponies are - Rascal (Varkies Valiant) holding up works! The digger was running, and had been rolling, but had to stop for an inspection by Rascal.

Treetops Creme Brulee (CoKo), Miss Varkie and Mr Varkie went to the Treolywn Carriage Driving Fun Show yesterday. It was a great show with some lovely turnouts and a good range of classes. They got 2nd in the Trec, 3rd in the pleasure driving and 5th in the cones class. Well done to everybody that went, looking forward to next year's show.

Miss Varkie and CoKo (Treetops Creme Brulee) did their first show since our move to Devon, at TotnesShow. CoKo behaved so well and they both managed to pull in a 2nd and best exercise vehicle.

Dragon (Dragon Dennis The Menace), 3 year old c**t. Such a lovely tempered boy. Hoping to begin doing some light work with him this year.

A busy first showing show of the year, at the Southern Shetland Pony Group Spring Show. We took three ponies, Cadno Shandy, Ashvalley Miracle and Treetops Creme Brulee. Between them they entered six classes and two championships, coming away with six class placings and one Reserve Driving Champion placing. All ponies were really well behaved, we couldn't be more pleased with them.
