Hey Claws and Paws family. Sorry we've been absent for so long. The pandemic affected us hard and we had to concentrate on ourselves and our beautiful rodents.

But we're back, having just spent the day setting up our new cage (it came defective, and we didn't want to wait any longer until the new drill bit came, so excuse the improv situation!) Currently this cage is housing the remaining girls we have left that were born during/just before lockdown, they're a little bit older (14-18 weeks), but are stunning and so sweet. They'll be available from mid-July ^.^

We had a very small number of males born during spring, and so are still considering if any of them will be homed out. However we hope to start pairing again at the end of July, provided the world remains a little safer.

Teaching the babies to sit pretty for pictures *sigh* this litter aren't the best listeners, but we love them anyways. They'll be looking for their furever homes once the world is back to normal 🧡 and hopefully by then they'll stay still for more than 2 seconds 😁😂

Apologies for the delays in getting back to messages, I (Cherise), run the social media side of C&P. I am an NHS key worker and have recently increased my hours in response to the current situation, so things have been a little crazy here.

Due to Covid-19, we have suspended ALL NEW HOMINGS of our rodents, we have a couple of outstanding collections due, but are working with those individuals regarding this.
💙
We have attempted contact free collections, but these did not provide the experience we want to offer. Additionally we have seen a huge increase in demand for our rodents l during lockdown and do not want to sell living creatures as a fix to temporary boredom for people stuck at home, animals should not be impulse purchases. We do not believe the sale of rodents is essential travel, and do not feel comfortable participating in increasing the risk of spread of Covid-19.

If you are interested in a Claws and Paws Rat or Mouse, please fill out our waitlist application (attached below) and as soon as things are back to normal, we will contact you. We have stunning baby rats and mice ready to go to loving homes once lockdown has lifted.

However, we reserve the right to refuse the homing of any of our animals, we will not be threatened or guilted into facilitating collections during lockdown, these are unprecedented times and we all need to work together.

Sadly these two beautiful (camera-shy) babies are available again.
They're now close to 3 months old, but unfortunately their homing has fallen through.

We are looking for a loving ratty mum or dad to take on these balls of mischief. Both top-eared stunning black babies who look just like their mumma (Minstrel), and have adorable white smudges on their tummies.
These girls are ready from TODAY and are reduced to hopefully find them a home.

These will be photographed and uploaded over the coming days. Our rats are offered to our waitlist first, before any remaining rats being available for general homing. We anticipate several female rats will be available after our waitlist applicants have been contacted. If you have requested males on the waiting list but would like one of our females instead, please let us know.
