Lola came into the practice with a fish hook embedded in her lip!

The team worked quickly to remove the hook to ensure Lola didn't injure herself further or try to swallow it.

This is Jake, a very wriggly puppy who came to see us after suddenly developing a painful eye following some enthusiastic garden play.

We suspect he may have come into contact with an irritant plant sap, which caused some discomfort. To check for damage, we used fluorescein dye which is a special green stain that helps us spot any injuries to the eye. His owners were a little surprised by how dramatic the green looked, but it’s a normal (and super helpful!) part of the exam.

The good news? Jake’s eye is healing beautifully and he’s feeling much more comfortable now!🐾
