⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️Strict no video policy⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️

Sounds dodgy doesn't it?

We totally get the want and need for cameras around horses, especially during lessons videos can be used to recap a session or document improvement etc.

However, we live in a world where social media can be dangerous and we maybe coming from a place you may not first think of.

The initial thought...
We must have something to hide.

Well, in a way, yes we do!!

But maybe not the way some may think...

You see, the lessons are not the issue

However, the children being captured on video and that video being out of our control is an issue to us.

The same goes for our facilities and valuables.
We do not wish a map or blue print advertised online.

Did you know our owners and clients sign for online permission?
Many horses and clients here do not have online permission for a multitude of reasons.
Our videos ensure the images of horses and clients in this catagory do not make social media.

This next one may shock you, but you'll get it as soon as you read it..

We sometimes have humans on the yard that cannot have their image shared on public forums.
⭐️Adults that have relocated.
⭐️Children in care.
⭐️Children with parents that have a firm no online images as a preference.

There are also many sensitive and private conversations that take place on the yard.
Imagine videoing a lesson and without thinking, posting the video and it contains sounds of a private conversation.

You see, a member of the public, taking a harmless video of their lesson, without thought or knowledge of the above could infact contain images of children, or of horses or humans strictly forbidden for online and so forth.
There are so many factors.
There are so many dangers when social media is involved.

So yes, we do have lots to hide, but its not because were dodgy.
Its because we are doing our best.
Our best to protect the horses, the humans, the children in our care.
Our best to be professional.
Our best to keep our promise to others.
Our best to be transparent yet responsible.

We can only hope you understand.

While we have nothing to hide.
We have so much we have to respect.

Please allow extra time travelling to us if you come from the Walsden end. They are surface dressing the road with closures in place.

in Hebden Bridge centre (near the Co-Op) so please allow extra time getting to us.

With it being another scorcher of a day please make sure you ………

🐴 come appropriately dressed for your lesson (shoulders must be covered when riding) 👕

🐴 bring plenty of water to stay hydrated you can take this into your lesson with you. 💧

🐴 lessons will be going at a slightly slower pace for the comfort of the horse.

With rising cases of equine flu we have been advised by the BHS to implement the following.

Ensuring vaccinations are up to date.
Check vaccinations when horses arrive. This is also implemented for visiting horses for clinics etc.
Monitor temperatures regularly, this can help to detect early.
Isolate any suspected cases immediately and contact a vet.
Minimise horse to horse contact, particularly between different yards.
Visiting horses are to be kept very separate from the yard, no hand grazing on site or sharing of water sources.
Ensuring people who may visit multiple yards are using disinfectant, changing clothes etc to minimise risk.

Knowing the clinical signs of flu, and acting quickly can help to protect the horses:

A temperature above 38.5°C
A frequent dry, harsh cough
Nasal discharge
Loss of appetite
Lethargy
Swollen or painful glands around the jaw
Gagging when eating

🐴 We’re Looking for a New Addition to Our Riding School 🐴

We’re on the lookout for a kind, genuine horse to join our lovely riding school team.

Our horses are well cared for and work within a structured school environment, so we’re hoping to find something that is:✨ Balanced in walk, trot, and canter✨ Happy to work in a riding school setting✨ Ideally able to pop a small jump (but not essential)

We’re open to any age, colour, mare of gelding, but ideally 15hh and above.

We would consider:🔹 Loan 🔹Loan with a view to buy🔹 Or even working livery

Our priority is finding the right match — a horse that will be happy, well looked after, and enjoy a varied workload.

We’ve just received a little update from Ginny.

She’s been having a lovely time getting to know her new jockeys.
