Look who popped in for a nail trim. I have got to say i was very excited and nervous as this would be my first tortoise 🐢 I have ever done a nail trim on bit after doing research I felt confident to do it 😀

☀️❗️Heat Wave Warning❗️☀️

A missed walk won’t be fatal to your dog, but heat stroke can be..

Please be cautious and walk your dogs first thing of a morning or of an evening when it is cooler and safer to do so especially with your brachycephallic breeds.

Please do not leave your pet in a car.

Seek veterinary attention if your pet shows signs of the following -

❗️lethargy
❗️vomiting or diarrhoea
❗️heavy panting
❗️dribbling
❗️drowsiness
❗️collapsing
❗️lack of appetite

Temperature guidelines:

☀️ 32+ c - High risk of heat stroke no matter on dogs breed

☀️ 38-31 c - dangerous for all dogs and life threatening for larger breeds and puppies especially brachycephallic breeds (bulldogs,pugs)

☀️ 24-27 c - be cautious with exercise most dogs especially those that are large and overweight will struggling in these temperatures

☀️ 17-23 c - even in this range dogs can get heat stroke if exercised too vigorously or if they have any existing health conditions including breathing difficulties

☀️ 12-15 c - no signs of heat stroke risk, so can enjoy your dog walks 🐾

🐾 let’s all keep our fur babies safe this summer by keeping them nice and cool 🐾
