Munster ACS Triple Shows Cork, Ireland 25-26.07.2026 🏆

I managed to recover just enough from being ill (yes, again) before our trip to Ireland, only to come home and get even worse. Typical! 😅
Thankfully I’m feeling much better now but still sounding like I’ve swallowed sandpaper, but I’m back and finally ready to share our Ireland trip! 😂
Now, let’s talk about my wonderful boyfriend Andy ❤️ as he very kindly shared his cold and flu with me before we left to Ireland. Because apparently sharing is caring! Thanks! 😂
Despite feeling awful I survived an incredible weekend in Cork 3 shows, camping, grooming and showing 5 dogs. Honestly… where do I collect my Handler of the Month award? 👀🏆
We camped ⛺️ at the showground, and I absolutely loved it (except being ill 🤧). It’s brought back so many memories of showing in Europe before I moved to England. It was lovely catching up with everyone, and we were over the moon with all the compliments our dogs received, especially our little Poppy. 🌺
Right, enough about germs and bad timing… let’s get to the exciting part!

Across the 3 shows, our four adult dogs brought home:
🏆 3 Green Stars
🏆 7 Reserve Green Stars
🏆 2 Best of Breed (BOB)
🏆 1 Reserve Best of Breed (RBOB)
🏆 1 Best of Opposite S*x (BOS)
🏆 1 CACIB
🏆 1 JCACIB
🏆 1 Reserve CACIB

And then there’s the little superstar of the team… ⭐️ Poppy!
At her very first big shows, she made us incredibly proud by beating more than 20 baby puppies before going on to win BEST IN SHOW-4 BABY PUPPY! 💥
Anyone in the Brittany world knows how easy it is for our breed to be overlooked next to some of the flashier breeds, so this result means the world to us. But more importantly we’re so proud of Poppy’s confidence, attitude and beautiful behaviour in the ring. 🥰
The Irish weather certainly kept us on our toes 🙄 with rain, wind, sunshine… sometimes all within five minutes! 🌦️ But that’s dog showing and honestly… we wouldn’t have it any other way. 😂🇮🇪❤️

What a lovely couple of days out showing! 🐾
Friday was spent at Oakengates Show with Angel. A huge thank you to Anne for giving my boy and me a lift. Congratulations again on your Toy Group 3, so well deserved! 🎉
As always, the journey was full of great chats and plenty of laughs. 🥰
Sunday was GSP Show day with my wonderful friend Claire and our girls Oka, Desi and Poppy. It was such a lovely day spent with lovely people. 💕
A big thank you to Linda for trusting me with your handsome boy Pep once again. It was an honour to take him into the Champions Parade, and judging by his expression I think he quite enjoyed being my date for the afternoon! 😁 (Photos soon)
Poppy also made herself a new friend and for one glorious day seemed completely convinced she was a German Shorthaired Pointer. We didn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise… 👀
And finally thank you, Claire. I’d really missed our days out together it was so good to be back and making a new memories. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏼

Another hot and very windy show… although for once, we were all incredibly grateful for the wind! 🌬️☀️
First of all, a huge thank you to Steve for being our chauffeur and getting me and my Britts to and from the show safely. 🚗
And thank you to Bernadetta for letting us borrow your lucky tent ⛺️ it was definitely the best spot on the showground and kept us all from melting in the sunshine!
A big well done to the Evesham committee for putting on such a well organized and friendly show. It was a pleasure to attend.

Boston Championship Show 2-4.07.2026 🏆

Two lovely days out at such a well-organised Boston Show. Huge congratulations to the committee on another fantastic event! 👏🏻
On Gundog Day Joy took my pack and me to a show. It was certainly a windy one! We also brought along Misia, Joys Rottie pup for some socialising. Poppy and Misia thoroughly enjoyed their day cheering Angel on in the ring - although I think they were more interested in making new friends than watching the judging! 😜
Then we was back for Toy Day with our Chinese Cresteds and little Pomeranian Maya who did us proud. She showed beautifully, and we couldn’t be more proud of her. 💕
A huge thank you to Joy for taking us, as always. We really do appreciate it - you deserve a medal for putting up with my britts! ❤️

Blackpool Championship Show 19-20.06.2026 🏆

With Windsor unfortunately being cancelled, I’ve found myself with a little extra time to post about our wonderful weekend at the Blackpool Championship Show.
Firstly, a huge well done to the Windsor committee for putting the welfare of exhibitors and most importantly, our dogs first. It can’t have been an easy decision, but I’m sure you’ll find a way to reschedule a fantastic show later in the year.

Now onto Blackpool! We were there for two days, and they couldn’t have been more different. 😁 Toy Day was windy and a little chilly 🥶 while Gundog Day were boiling hot! 🥵
For some mysterious reason I woke up at exactly 5:24am on both mornings without setting an alarm! Maybe it’s a lucky sign, because we had a fantastic weekend. I might have to make 5:24am my new routine…! 😂
We’re incredibly proud of our dogs and everything they achieved. It was two lovely days spent with my wonderful friends - Joy and Claire, it was so special to be back in the ring with Claire. 💕
On Gundog Day Poppy came along to enjoy a day in the sunshine and cheer on her big brother Angel and her aunty Oka. ☀️💕
I think she quite enjoyed being a spectator for a change although I’m not convinced she wasn’t secretly wishing she was in the ring too! 😄

Royal Cheshire Open Show 16-17.06.2026 🏆

We had a wonderful couple of days with Joy and the dogs at the Royal Cheshire Show on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It was Poppy’s very first show outing, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how she behaved. She was an absolute star ⭐️ - calm, relaxed, and completely unfazed by all the excitement. She thoroughly enjoyed every cuddle and happily soaked up all the compliments she received. 💕
On the second day she tried her paw at the British Heart Foundation charity fun show and certainly didn’t disappoint. We’re incredibly proud of her achievements and her attitude throughout. 👏🏻
The other dogs also did very well, although Poppy seems to have already decided she’s the celebrity of the Aukskara family! 😄
It was also lovely to catch up with fellow Brittany enthusiasts and share such an enjoyable show together. 😊

Bath Championship Show 22-23.05.2026 🏆

Better late than never! 😅
Between the excitement of the Bath Championship Show and the whirlwind preparations for WDS, this post somehow never made it onto my page so here it is now!
We enjoyed two lovely sunny days out with friends, and the results made it even better. ☀️💕

After missing out on the Adult Handling Finals last year I was thrilled to make it this year and give it our all with my soul dog Angel. 😇
We certainly didn’t leave anything in the tank!
Loki decided to be on his best behaviour in the Brittany classes (a pleasant surprise! 😂) and earned placement in strong competition. 😮‍💨👏
Oka was absolutely on fire 🔥 and came home with her 4th CC tucked safely in her pocket! 💕
And to make things even more fun the Chinese Cresteds and Pomeranian seemed determined to do everything in second placements. 😁

A wonderful weekend, great company, lovely dogs, and memories to treasure. ❤️🐾

WDS CLUB SHOW 03.06.2026 🏆

Finally recovered after our long trip to Italy, so I can finally make my post! 🇮🇹😅
With 5 dogs packed into the car and just the two of us, we somehow managed to cover over 2000 miles. A huge thank you to Joy for driving us there and back all on her own you’re an absolute star! ⭐️👏
After two long days on the road, we finally arrived at our lovely apartment. Definitely 5 stars from us! ⭐️

There were so many beautiful sights along the way, and I completely fell in love with the Alps. Anyone who knows me knows I have a slight obsession with hills and mountains! 🏔️😍
Of course, as soon as we crossed into Italy, we were greeted by a massive storm. I won’t lie that was absolutely terrifying! ⛈️😅

Sadly, our team didn’t do as well as we’d hoped, but we had a fantastic time together, and that’s what really matters. 💕

It was lovely meeting some new Brittany people, although not all of them were quite as friendly as others… 🤔👀
I was also very grateful to receive some lovely compliments about Loki from fellow Brittany enthusiasts, thank you it means a lot. 😊

We caught up with old friends, made some new ones and shared some wonderful moments together. 💕👏🏻
Italy, it was lovely to see you! 🇮🇹 But I don’t think we’ll be making the trip back anytime soon… 😂

As for the actual WDS day… let’s just say it was a bit of unfair nonsense. 🤔 I’ll save that story for another post. 👀
