We are a BYOF kennel 🥩🥕🥣
(Bring your own food)

As there's such a wide variety of food options available for dogs, we simply can't stock everything so we decided when we open the kennels that it would be best for owners to bring their own food to ensure that we stick to your dogs diets.
(A sudden change in diet can cause gastrointestinal upset)

We have a large chest freezer and fridge to store any meat, fruit, vegetables and medications.

We can weigh out foods or if you prefer to bag up individual meals that's no problem. We take a detailed description of your feeding instructions to make sure we mirror your routine as closely as possible.

The winter weather makes it impossible for us to keep our outdoor equipment accessible due to strong winds.

We will be updating our website next week with the information posted yesterday.

We spoke with Shetland Vets and asked if they would be happy for us to put up a more detailed version of what's needed in regards to vaccinations.
They have been a huge help to us whenever we've had questions since we opened our kennels.
They were delighted to see that we already have our guidelines set to only accepting fully vaccinated dogs and that they must have the kennel cough vaccination as well. 👩‍⚕️ 💉

These vaccinations help by training the immune system to recognize and fight off dangerous diseases and sickness. 🦠

Shetland vets provided the details below ⬇️

"Fully and up to date vaccination against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus (DHP), Leptospirosis (L2 or L4) and kennel cough (KC or Bb)"

Boosters must be done within 12 months 🗓️

Thanks again to everyone for turning up with the vaccination cards when dropping off your pups, please remember if you can't find your vaccination card you can email the vets to get your vaccination history. ✉️

Hello!

The kennels open again tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming you all back.

We have had to make the tough decision to set new prices for the foreseeable future.
This is the last thing we wanted to do but due to the increasing costs in our utility bills and rising insurance costs this is the only way to move forward just now.
If the costs go down again we will lower prices accordingly.

One dog £25.00 (Per night)

Two dogs sharing a kennel £40:00 (per night)

Three dogs sharing a kennel £50:00 (Per night)

Drop off and collection times will remain the same and we would like to remind everyone that these times are set.
Drop off 16:00-17:00
Collection 10:00-11:00

2026 CLOSURE DATES

Closed Saturday -18th July open Saturday 1st August

Closed Wednesday - 23rd December Open Wednesday 6th January

We will be back to emails tomorrow.
