We’ve had the pleasure of grooming these gorgeous sisters for the past 5–6 years! 🐾 When they first joined us, both were a little unsure of the grooming environment & the whole process.

With lots of patience & a close partnership with their lovely pawrents, we introduced gentle, reassuring methods to help them feel more at ease.

After a few visits, we found they were much happier having ‘dry cuts’ instead of full grooms.

✂️ Dry cuts are ideal for dogs who:
🐾 Are noise sensitive
🐾 Struggle with longer grooming sessions due to anxiety, age, or patience
🐾 Need need a full furcut without the stress of a full bath & blow dry

Every dog is different, & we’re always happy to adapt our approach to suit their individual needs!

You are what you eat!

Why is your dog farty? Why is your dog itchy? Don’t get me wrong a quality diet does make a massive different BUT here is the thing…

For food to be causing the skin allergy the pet MUST have gut signs. If not, then my money is on dust mites. I’ll give you some dust mite tips this week.

I want you to get to the answer quickly. That means we can resolve the underlying problem quickly. No gut signs means less time on thinking about food allergies and more time managing the environmental factors!

✨Puppy Grooms ✨Building the Best Foundation for Future Grooming Success!

Starting your pup’s grooming journey early is one of the best investments you can make in their lifelong wellbeing. Regular, gentle introductions to the grooming process will help to build confidence, trust, and good habits that make full grooms a breeze later on!

Here’s our ideal schedule for puppies, as modelled by Ludo:

🐾12–14 weeks (or when fully vaccinated): Puppy Intro 1
🐾16–18 weeks: Puppy Intro 2
🐾20–22 weeks: Puppy Intro 3
🐾24–30 weeks: First Full Groom

Top Tip: Boys often take a little longer to mature, so their first full groom might be closer to 7–8 months old.

Every pup is unique – not just by breed, but by coat type & personality too! These timings may vary slightly, but for most dogs needing regular clipping & styling, this is a great rule of thumb.

Let’s set your puppy up for grooming success – one gentle step at a time… It’s never too early!

Dental disease leads to chronic pain. It’s hidden (until they breathe on us!) so we tend not to think about it as much as say arthritis, where we see the dog or cat struggle to move.

It’s important to reduce plaque to prevent tartar. A blob of appropriate tooth paste into the mouth, chewing, products in food and water to reduce plaque, and brushing if possible will all help tremendously!

If you’d like to learn more about your pet’s mouth or those you care for, then my course oral and dental health in dogs and cats would be great for you! You’ll learn so much about the mouth!
